Study On Nutrition Status Of Arable Land And Regional Formula Fertilization In Shandong Province

The subsidy of formula fertilization is a national policy to support and benefit agriculture. The study on formula fertilization has great significance on finding out the arable fertility of Shandong province, establishing and improving the fertilizer application scheme, and adjusting the market structure of agricultural products. An experiment was carried out to study the fertility of cultivated land, the index system of main crop fertilization and the fertilizer application scheme in different regions based on the subsidy of formula fertilization, the determination results of huge soil samples and the 3414 experimental data. The main results are as follows:1. The content of organic matter is 15.8 g/kg in plain areas of mid-south Shandong Province, which is the highest of all Province. In plain areas of mid-north Shandong Province the number is 14.8 g/kg.In hilly areas of central Shandong Province the number is 14.0 g/kg. In plain areas of northwest Shandong Province the number is 13.4 g/kg. In the salinized areas of northeast Shandong Province the number is 12.7 g/kg.In hilly areas of eastern Shandong Province the number is 11.0 g/kg.2. The alkali-decomposable nitrogen content is up to 100 mg/kg in plain areas of mid-north Shandong Province and to 97 mg/kg in plain areas of mid-south Shandong Province, both of them are vegetable cultivated region. In hilly areas of eastern and central Shandong Province and plain areas of northwest Shandong Province the number is around 80 mg/kg, all of them are grain-producing region. The number is less than 70 mg/kg in the salinized areas of northeast Shandong Province, where mainly planting cotton.3. The available phosphorus content is up to 42.1 mg/kg in plain areas of mid-north Shandong Province, where is vegetable cultivated region. In hilly areas of eastern Shandong Province where mainly planting cash crops the number is higher too, about 38.6 mg/kg. In hilly areas of central Shandong Province the number is 32.1 mg/kg. In plain areas of mid-south Shandong Province the number is 33.9 mg/kg. The plain areas of northwest and the salinized areas of northeast Shandong Province have lower content, which are 27.5 mg/kg and 22.0 mg/kg respectively.4. The content of readily available potassium is quite different because it is affected by natural factors and human activities. The content is 161 mg/kg in plain areas of mid-north, which is the highest of all Province. In the salinized areas of northeast the number is 136 mg/kg and the plain areas of northwest is 135 mg/kg. The number in hilly areas of central section and plain areas of mid-south Shandong Province are 121 mg/kg and 116 mg/kg respectively. In hilly areas of eastern section the number is 101 mg/kg.5. The pH is gradually increased from south and east to north and west. The soil pH levels of different regions are as follows: hilly areas of eastern Shandong Province(5.8)< plain areas of mid-south Shandong Province(6.8)< hilly areas of central Shandong Province(6.9)< plain areas of mid-north Shandong Province(7.3)< the plain areas of northwest Shandong Province(7.9)< the salinized areas of northeast Shandong Province(8.0).6. The plain areas of northwest Shandong Province need to reduce the amount of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer rate, and adjust the amount of potassium fertilizer. Fertilizers are applied at rates of 14-16 kg/667m~2 N and 7-9 kg/667m~2 P in high-yielding land. In low-yielding land are at the rates of 9-11 kg/667m~2 N and 5 kg/667m~2 P. It is applied 5-6 kg/667m~2 K only in high-yielding field or the content of readily available potassium is less than 96 mg/kg. The hilly areas of eastern Shandong Province need to increase the amount of nitrogen fertilizer rate and control the phosphorus and potassium fertilizer. Fertilizers are applied at rates of 13-15 kg/667m~2 N, 6-8 kg/667m~2 P and 8-10 kg/667m~2 K in high-yielding land. In low-yielding land it is at the rates of 10-12 kg/667m~2 N, 5-7 kg/667m~2 P and 6-8 kg/667m~2 K. The hilly areas of central Shandong Province need to stabilize the nitrogen fertilizer rate, to reduce the phosphorus fertilizer rate and balance the potassium fertilizer rate. Fertilizers are applied at rates of 14-16 kg/667m~2 N, 7-8 kg/667m~2 P and 6-8 kg/667m~2 K in high-yielding land. In low-yielding land it is at the rates of 10-12 kg/667m~2 N, 4-6 kg/667m~2 P and 4-5 kg/667m~2 K. The plain areas of mid-north Shandong Province need to reduce the nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer rate and stabilize the potassium fertilizer rate. Fertilizers are applied at rates of 13-15 kg/667m~2 N, 6-7.5 kg/667m~2 P and 5-6 kg/667m~2 K in high-yielding land. In medium-yielding land it is at the rates of 11-12 kg/667m~2 N, 6-7 kg/667m~2 P and 4-5 kg/667m~2 K. The plain areas of mid-south Shandong Province need to stabilize the nitrogen and potassium fertilizer rate and control the phosphorus fertilizer rate. Fertilizers are applied at rates of 15-17 kg/667m~2 N, 8-10 kg/667m~2 P and 8-10 kg/667m~2 K in ultra-high-yielding land(with a per-667 m~2 output of 550-600 kg). In high-yielding land it is at the rates of 13-15 kg/667m~2 N, 6-8 kg/667m~2 P and 6-7 kg/667m~2 K. The salinized areas of northeast Shandong Province need to reduce the nitrogen and potassium fertilizer rate and adjust the amount of potassium fertilizer. Fertilizers are applied at rates of 13-16 kg/667m~2 N and 6-9 kg/667m~2 P in high-yielding land. In low-yielding land are at the rates of 11-13 kg/667m~2 N and 6 kg/667m~2 P. It is applied 5-6 kg/667m~2 K only in high-yielding field or the content of readily available potassium is less than 119 mg/kg.
