As an important part of construction of eco-economic type forest in the west of Liaoning Province, forage-shelter forest is the most valid measures of improving eco-environment, increasing economy yield and enhance the social benefits. Therefore, it is important to obtain planting models, silvirculture and technology of operating management of forage-shelter forest. This paper researched that the situ phenology, the amelioration effects of soil physical and chemical properties in the forage-shelter forest in the west of Liaoning Province. What's more, growth dynamics, biomass dynamics and crude protein of forage-shelter forest were carried out in the research. The main conclusions were:(1) Temperature changing in the Caragana Microphylla Lam. Forage-Shelter Forest:the ground temperature and air temperature in the plain tree belt were all lower than open space; air temperature of upland tree belt was higher than open space; the plain temperature of shady-slope on upland tree belt was lower than air.(2) Moisture changing:surface moisture and air moisture of tree belt were both higher than open space; surface moisture of shady-slope on upland was higher than the air.(3) After stumping Caragana Microphylla Lam. forage-shelter forest tree belt behaved efficiency of wind-breaking before defoliation, while a better manifestation in non-stump tree belt after defoliation.(4) Tree-grass interplant model on upland showed the best soil amelioration. Soil displayed a decreased volume-weight, a increased silt proportion, higher moisture capacity and increased content of organic matter; plain soil amelioration showed a trend:tree-grass interplant>tree-cash crop interplant>tree-crop interplant; the nitrogen-fixing effect of Caragana Microphylla Lam. could influence the area within one tree-height under the forest.(5) Caragana Microphylla Lam. growth of height and DBH:tree-cash crop interplant> tree-grass interplant>tree-crop interplant; plant on shady-slope upland>ground>sunny-slope; stump 2-year plant> non-stump 5-year plant>stump 1-year plant. June and August is the fastest time of height growth while DBH growth on May and June.(6) Caragana Microphylla Lam. Biomass change:the total biomass had a trend of tree-grass interplant>tree-cash crop interplant>tree-crop interplant, non-stump 5-year plant> stump 2-year plant> stump 1-year plant, the maximum biomass was in the September and the density was 60 branch/clump. Edible biomass showed that stump 2-year plant> non-stump 5-year plant>stump 1-year plant.(7) The total crude protein of edible part reached the highest point in June. The total crude protein showed that plant on sunny-slope> ground> shady-slope upland; stump 2-year plant> non-stump 5-year plant>stump 1-year plant.(8) This research gained that:sunny-slope was the best site condition where planted the forage-shelter forest of Caragana Microphylla Lam.; tree-grass interplant is the best model; tree-cash crop interplant could be as the most economic benefits if it is not requirement of fodder; density of 60 branch/clump and a 5 m line spacing were the best arrangement; 2 year was the stump time interval; September could harvest the maximum biomass while the maximum crude protein in June.
