AS'the lungs of a city', the urban green space plays an irreplaceable role in the economic benefit,ecological benefit, etc.. To achieve the planning and construction of the urban green space, urban greenbelt information must be efficiently, fast and accurately extracted. An urban greenbelt map of Liaocheng city was made in this paper through the process of image correction,mergjing, extracting and classifying using the IKONOS image in 2008 as the data source,and the work was done with the help of some software such as EARDAS,ARCGIS and so on.Based on the urban greenbelt map,with the help of Fragstas and Excel soft, plaques constitutethe index,landscape fragmentation index, shape index of patch and heterogeneity index were calculated. By the analysis of the indexes,some problems were found on the landscape pattern in Liaocheng city, which could provide scientific foundation for perfecting greenbelt spatial framework and pattern of Liaocheng city.The research findings are as follows:(1) Urban greenbelt information is extracted through supervised classification method, combining with visual interpreting.The classification results are ideal. The overall accuracy is eighty-four point seven percent, reaching accuracy requirements of classification.(2) The distribution of greenbelt landscape's type is uneven. Attached green space is in the majority no matter in the total greenbelt area or by the proportion of each type patch accounts for the total number of patch. Public green space and urban road green space are evener in green patches area by the plaques area poor value and maximum patches index.While attached green space's fragmentation is highest through plaques boundary length and boundary density index. The landscape of this greenbelt, communicating with the outside world frequently,is seriously splited.(3) Fragmentation index of five types of landscape are between 0.009 and 0.831. In addition to affiliate greenbelt(0.831) outside, fragmentation degree of other four kinds of green land is lesser(FN2 less than 0.269). Fractal dimension of five types of landscape are between 1.3015 and 1.4297. This shows that plaques boundary of landscape components is relatively simple.And plaques density of attached green space is the largest, indicating the segmentation degree of this greenbelt most serious.(4) It is successively attached greenbelt, road greenbelt,other greenbelt, farmland greenbelt and public lawn ,which is by the order of size of circumference area ratio. Accordingly the edge effect intensity is decreased. The boundary plaques of attached greenbelt is the most complex by the value of LSI.(5) As a whole,landscape diversity index is 1.499, landscape abundance density is 0.119, landscape dominance index and landscape evenness is 0.931. These indicators shew that city green landscape are uniformly distributed in liaocheng.In view of the above conclusions, several countermeasures wre put forward:(1) strengthening public green space planning;(2) strengthening the construction of road greenbelt in Liaocheng city;(3) strengthening the construction of large and medium-sized green patches;(4) to further improve the landscape diversity ;(5)Improving city green coverage rate.
