Seeds with different moisture content(9%,11%,13%,15%,17%)of alfalfa variety Zhongmu No.1 were boarded on Shijian-8 satellite, unboarded was CK. The Illage of plant who grow in the ground, Study on the content of chlorophyl,soluble sugar protein and MDA and thectivity of protective enzymes. The results will help us to explore effects on physiologyical characteristics of alfalfa by space flight, provideing theory foundation and scientific evidence of breeding new species and space mutation breeding. The main results are as follows:1. Seeds of alfalfa with different moisture content after space flight, the content of chlorophyll difference because of the different growth period and different moisture content. Different seed moisture content of the processing in the space mutation occurred under the direction of variation and mutation rate are different,integrated view, there mutation positive when the wate content of 13%-17%,in the branching 13%moisture the content of chlorophyll a,chlorophyll b and chlorophyll are increased 20.95%,37.08%and 32.53% higher than the control, we also can see that there great effect on space mutation of chlorophyll a,and the branching of the time effect is obvious.2. There didn't a large degree of change of the content of soluble sugar and soluble protein in various growth stages on space flight compared to the control.3.The changing of the seed with different moisture on the activity of protective enzyme and the content of MDA, there were some change in protective enzyme activity of different moisture of CK, but the variation range is different, the CAT and SOD variation range were haigher, the variation range of POD was lower, and the higher moisture made the activity reduced. The space flight, the protective activity was higher as the moisture of seed increased, and 13%and 15% carrying group's enzyme activity were significancely increase than the CK. For example, the seeds with moisture of 15%after space flight the activity of CAT,SOD and POD increased 264.45%,735.49%and 54.85% compared to the contral in braching period.There weren't significance change among the different moisture. The content of MDA change wasn't significant, may be the activity of protective was working.These may be caused by space environment, changes in gene expression, activatiy of the protective enzyme system, the protection of the high mutagenic activity in favor of damage repair, maintain the metabolic balance of free radicals within the cell membraneThese all show that,the space mutation were complicated and unstable, we should do more to known the mechanism of change, so that gain the species with good character and stability.
