Mini-type grain combine harvesters which are widely used are applicable in mountainous and hilly areas as harvesting machinery, but the harvesting machine on the market more or less has such problem as the bad stability of the quality, low level of reliability, high failure rate, low productivity, higher loss rate, high rate of damage and lower clean rate. To improve the working performance and adaptability of this combine, 4L-0.2 type combine is carried out a field experiment and field test as the experimental prototype by restructuring the structural type and change motion parameters, when natural conditions and worker are consistent. Its test object is wheat, and the test index is loss rate. 4 conclousions are drawn according to the tests: (1)Concave clearance, roller speed, guide slide quantity and angle are important to its working performance and adaptability through this experiment, but the chape of the nail tooth is not important; (2) This paper analyzes influence rule of these factors to the harvester working performance and adaptability, the optimal structural type and motion parameter of the machine is determined; (3) the optimal combination of several factors which influence the operating performances of the harvester is determined: the speed of the cylinder is 850r/min, and concave clearance is generally between 10mm~20mm , exit clearance is smaller than the entry clearance, and 6 pieces of guide slide, which make the synthetic performance of the harvester in good quality; (4)the height of the guide slide has little influence on the drift loss, but too low will cause blocking phenomenon, while too high will lead to more drift loss and low-rate threshing. This paper has provided scientific evidence for improving the structure of the harvester, increasing working efficiency, and advancing the synthetic performance of the mimitype grain combine harvester, and is proved good in practice.
