Forest is important to human survival and development of material base, which has an irreplaceable status and role. Forest fires are one of the most serious disasters to the forest. It not only seriously damage forest resources causing serious economic damage and casualties, but also cause the serious destruction of the natural environment, influencing the ecological balance. It is important issues to the Ministry of Forestry that how prevent forest fires, detect the fires in time, and suppress the fires safety and fast, so that the damage can be reduced to minimum.In recent years, the 3S technology to be primarily Geographic Information System (GIS) provides new methods and ideas to solve forest resource management, forest fire monitoring, fire fighting methods, with the development of computer technology and geographic information science. And the combination of geographic information systems and forest fire prevention provides an important means on command decision of the fires. The paper is about on the design and exploitation on the command system of forest fire suppression using the ArcEngine components of ESRI company, the .net platforms and c# of Mircosoft. It is also about on managing and seamless integrate spatial data and attribute data that are included in the system by using Geodatabase.The paper is divided into the four parts as follows.The first chapter for the paper is the first part. This part introduces the main component about the paper. And it mainly introduces the Situation of Study of Forest Fire Prediction System at home and abroad.The second chapter for the paper is the second part. It mainly introduces the basic of forest fire fighting system. This summarizes the conception and peculiarity of the GIS, the remote sensing, and the space satellite positioning system firstly. Then it discuss the component and module type GIS. Finally, it introduces ArcGIS platform, ArcEngine pack, and ArcSDE detailedly.The third and the forth chapter for the paper are the third part. Based on the system business requirements analysis and function requirements analysis,Design system goals and principles,this article designed a system framework,system function module and deployed system development environment. On the basis of the whole system design, design and build the Geodatabase and attribute database.The fifth chapter for the paper is the forth part. This is about on the exploring forest fire fighting command platform using C# ArcEngine component library, which brings about the on inquiring and managing the spatial date and the attribute data, and on the shortest path analysis of forest fire fighting command system.
