Design And Realization Of Cultivars Database Of Wintersweet Based On ArcEngine

Based on the study of the status in investigation and classification of Nanjing wintersweet(Chimonanthus praecox) cultivars and combined with GIS, the paper put forward to a kind ofapplication mode of GIS about the construction of plant cultivars database--Design andRealization of Nanjing Wintersweet cultivars Database Based on ArcEngine, so as to realize thatthe storage and management of the cultivars information of wintersweet.The system used the Microsoft Visual Studio2008as development environment, selectingthe C#as development language, depending on ArcGIS10, selecting ArcEngine as the secondarydevelopment platform, taking the Geodatabase as the spatial database as well as SQL Server2005as property database. The database system was divided into6modules: map operationmodule, data management module, data query module, management module, user managementmodule and help module. The article main carried out the following studies:(1) According to literature records, the number of existing standard strains of wintersweetcultivars in Nanjing was79, furthermore, Zhongshan Botanical garden had16standard strains ofwintersweet, and Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum had63, by taking an active investigation toZhongshan Botanical Garden and Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum.(2) The system designed map operation module, data management module and data inquirymodule in detail, at the same time, designed system interface as well as discussed the databasedata security and confidentiality.(3) Map operation module mainly carried on the documents and the data loading, displayand commonly used tools operation.(4) Data management module consisted of data loading and data management functions,which realized the cultivars information of wintersweet update and excision.(5) Data query module was a core part of the system, which provided a wide range of querymodes. It was composed name, distribution, color, scent and cultivars group query, which madethe query results more targeted.(6) Conservation and management module was made up of breeding methods, maintenanceand management, wintersweet cultivars retrieval and research progress check functions.(7) User management module included user and view the user two functions by setting updifferent user permissions to protect data security.(8) Help module provided the user with the system's user guide to provide a reference forusers.
