Chinese bittersweet, Celastrus angulatus Max, is a traditional insecticidal plant. More than 60 dihydroagarofuran sesquiterpene polyolesters have been isolated, but quite few of them isolated from the polar fraction of the extract. In order to collect the more compound samples for further research on 3D-QSAR, his studies on the further isolation of insecticidal components from the polar fraction of the extract has been carried out. The main results are as follows:1. Five sesquiterpene polyolesters were isolated and their structures were determined by spectral date of 1H, 13C-NMR and HRFABMS. Three of them, 1α,2α,6β,8α-tetraacetoxy-13-nicotinoyloxy-9β-furoxyloxy-4β-hydroxy-β-dihydroagarofuran (LW03), 1α,2α,6β,13-tetraacetocy-8α-nicotinoyloxy-9β-furoyloxy-4β-hydroxy-β-dihydroagarofuran(LW04), 1α,2α,6β,8β-tetraacetoxy-9α-benzoyloxy- 13- nicotinoyloxy -4β-hydroxy-β-dihydroagarofuran(LW05)are new compounds.2. The bioassay results against the larva of Mythimna separata showed that LW01,LW02,LW03,LW04 and LW05 exhibited narcotic activity, and the ND50 value was 1.09μg,2.16μg,more than 36.0μg,3.40μg and 4.08μg/individuality, respectly.
