| Pumpkin (Cucurbita spp) is an important gardening plant, and C.moschata is one important subspecies of it. After long evolution and breeding, there are rich varieties. The study on the genetic diversity of C.moschata benefits the conservation, classification, identification, genetic enhancement and effective utilization of C.moschata. Molecular mark can detect the genetic diversity at DNA level, is a powerful tool to study genetic diversity. This research on 32 pumpkins synthesizes the morphology mark and the RAPD mark, by the cluster analysis, the principal components analysis, the main coordinates analysis.The CV of 50 characters were big, according the standard of observation and analysis. They displayed the rich diversity. Especially the stem bristle, color of the unmature and ripe melon, streak shape, streak color, length and cross section shape of the unmatuer melon. The biggest CV is melon shape .The first three principal components added to 79.70% according principal components analysis.The variance contribution of the first was 68.53%, and difference among the eigenvalues was small, which summarized the stem, leaf, flower, the fruit, seed each kind of character, indicated rich variation on morpholohy.32 germplasm could class to 2 groups at similarity correlation 0.29 by morphologic clustering based on the branching, stem color, stem bristle, leaf color, shape of leaf edge, leaf surface fluff, the leaf surface floccosoids, character and melon shape. In No 1 group the biggest correlation between was II 5Bb 231 and II 5Bb 232,which was 0.70. In the first cluster II 5Bb 188, II 5Bb 189, H5Bb222, II 5Bb 201, II 5Bb 206 were classed closely; in the second cluster II 5Bb 200, II 5Bb 207, II 5Bb230, II 5Bb 208 classe closely, Because their charaters were similar.A total of 100 10-mer random primers was used in this study. Among them, 12 primers produced 112 bands(70.5%) were polymorphic acoss 32 C.moschata .On RAPD analysis, the germplasm could dusted into 2 at similarity correlation 0.53 .The materials were classed closely each, the shape of which is long clylinder, pyriform, long pyriform.Despite all was C.moschata . the CV of the 32 germplasm was big according the results of two marks.
