35 natural cases of dairy cows with displacement of abomasum (DA) were selected as studying objects, and 20 of them were left displacement of abomasum (LDA) and 15 cases were right displacement of abomasum (RDA). And other 16 healthy cows were selected from the same herd as control group. Before and after operation treatment, endotoxin(ET) in blood plasma, total superoxide dismutase (T-SOD), malonaldehyde (MDA) and amylase (AMS) in serum were studied about their method of change, and endotoxin, oxygen free radical(OFR) were studied about their pathopoiesis.18 cases in the group LDA(in this group 20 cases were included) and 12 cases in the group RDA(in this group 15 cases were included) are healed by suurgery, and the healing rate is 90% and 80% respectively in LDA and RDA. There is similar variance in group LDA and RDA about T-SOD,MDA,and ET before and later operation , which was that: both of quantity of MDA in blood serum and ET in blood plasm stepped up at first and then stepped down gradually, and the variance of activity of T-SOD in blood serum steps down first and come up later, the differences of control group and experiment group about MDA,ET,T-SOD are not distinguished 11 days later(P>0.05). The contrast between group RDA and LDA: (1)The activity of T-SOD in group RDA was remarkably lower than that of group LAD and control group(P<0.01) before operation and within 3 days after operation, the difference of activity of T-SOD between group LDA and group RDA was not distinguished, but contrasting to the control group it was distinguished(P<0.01) during 5th to 9th day after the operation, the difference of that among three groups was not conspicuous till 11 days.
