Presently, the improvement in poultry breeding has been made. However, negative effects have appeared accompanied with high intensity selection.Problems needed resolved by poultry industry in China, exist in controlling excessive fatness accumulation that affects chicken carcass quality. To resolve these problems, one main method to select fat and flavour traitsis using marker-assisteds election (MAS) based on molecular genetics. This study was designed to investigate the effect of H-FABP gene on chicken IMP concentratioin and fat metabolize. The fourth generation population of parochial breed of Fengkai Xinghua chiken(T04), Huiyang Huxu chiken(H), Qingyuan Ma chicken (Q) and Guangxi Xiayan chiken (SI) ,the other breed of Aixiao chicken (E4), AA chiken (AA) and Lingnan Huang chiken (DC) were used in the research. Polymorphisms were detected by PCR-SSCP and DNA sequenceing. We investigated the polymorphisms of H-FABP gene and the frequencies of gene and genotype.Among 12 pairs primers ,except 8 and 10 primer have no polymorphisma, others were polymorphisma in these seven breeds.Through the analysis of fat traits in different breeds ,we find breeds had significant effect on abdominal fat percent,IMF and IMP (P< 0.01), the abdominal fat percent and IMF content in AA chicken were 5.834,3.825 respectively. In the analysis of the correlation between H-FABP gene and the fat trait by using the data of these seven breeds respectively, at locus P1-89-295 ,the least square means of IMP had significant difference between BB and AA genotype (P<0.05) in DC chiken, while the least squares means of abdominal fat weight,IMF and IMP had no significant difference between the genotypes in the other breeds (P >0.05).For P2-110-280, the least square means of IMF had significant difference between BB and AA genotype (P<0.05) in DC chiken and Xinghua chicken, while the least squares means of abdominal fat weight,IMF and IMP had no significant difference among different genotype in others breeds (P > 0. 05) .For P4-528-792,...
