Relationship Between The Habitat Of Dendrocopos Major And The Population Of Anoplophora Glabripennis In Bayannaoer, Inner Mongolia

From 2004 to 2005, in the area where Dendrocopos major are coexistent with Anoplophora glabripennis, the distribution of pecked trees, the tree damaged by Anoplophora glabripennis , the nest-tree and the habiting tree was investigated. Firstly, the observation of the behavior of Dendrocopos major was made when their populations are different(June~October). In the meantime, the analysis of the change of the population of Anoplophora glabripennis was made. Secondly, the environmental characteristic of the nest, nest-tree, home range and habitat of Dendrocopos major was synthesized out. Thirdly, the relationship between Dendrocopos major, Anoplophora glabripennis , trees and their environment was reached. In addition, by the observation of the relationship of the other behaviors of Dendrocopos major and those of other birds, the conclusion can be drawn below:1. The percentage of Anoplophora glabripennis being predatored varied with the change of food resource at different season. With the peak occurring in August and September, in addition, the eggs of Anoplophora glabripennis were also predatored.2. It can be seen from the change of time, horizontal and vertical space niche and niche overlapping index that the two overlaps largely in time and space resource and that the synchronism of space and time was very obvious .The change of niche of Anoplophora glabripennis was not the only factor that can cause the change of the predator and niche of Dendrocopos major, but it can give rise to the correspondent change.3.
