Effect Of Combining Application Of Rape Seed Cake And Chemical Fertilizer On The Growth And Physiological Characteristic Of Flue-cured Tobacco

A pot experiment was conducted with flue- cured tobacco:K236. The objectives of the study were to examine the effects of cake fertilizer,chemical fertilizer and their combination on growth, root bleeding sap composition,carbon metabolism and nutrient elements of flue-cured tobacco. The results were as follows:1,The growth of the treatment applying fertilizer was faster than applying rape seed cake ,but the growth is excessive, the mature stage of leaves of flue-cured tobacco became longer. The growth of the treatment applying fertilizer was tardigrade at the initial stage of transplanting. The growth of the treatment applying rape seed cake is similar with the two others after vigorous growth stage, but the time of mature stage of leaves of flue-cured tobacco is earlier than the others. The growth of the treatment of combining application of rape seed cake and chemical fertilizer is moderate and the leaf can mature at moderate time.2,The root growth of the treatment applying fertilizer was better and larger than the two other treatments after the middle stage. The root of the treatment of rape seed cake stopped growing and developing at earlier period. There was no obvious difference in the dry weights of the roots before mature stage of the lower leaves and of the shoots at the whole stages among the three treatments .The average length,width, fresh weight and yield of the low leaves of the treatment applying fertilizer was smaller than those of applying rape seed cake ,but it was reverse in the upper leaves. The growth and development of the upper,the middle and the lower leaves of combining application of rape seed cake and chemical fertilizer was better, and the totle yield was the most.3,The amount of root bleeding sap reached the top at mature stage of lower leaves of flue-cured tobacco, then reduced gradually. The amount of root bleeding sap of the treatment applying fertilizer was obviously more than applying rape seed cake, the sap amount of combining application of rape seed cake and chemical fertilizer was between them. The content of nitrate nitrogen, ammonium nitrogen and free amino acid in the root bleeding sap of tobacco was the most when fertilizer was applied, next when rape seed cake and fertilizer were together applied, that was the least when only rape seed cake was applied. The content of inorganic phosphorus, potassium and soluble sugar in root bleeding sap of tobacco applying fertilizer was lower than that applying rape seed cake and fertilizer together or rape seed cake only.4,The content of carbohydrate of flue-cured tobacco of the treatment applying fertilizer was the least. The content of carbohydrate of flue-cured tobacco of the treatment applying rape seed cake was more than that of applying rape seed cake at the earlier state of aging , then the result was reverse at the later state of aging.
