| Effects of combination of the pregnant mare serum gonadotrophin ( PMSG ),human chorionic gonadotrophin ( hCG )and prostaglandins ( PGF2α ) on reproductive performance of female foxes were investigated in this study .The rate of synchronized estrus of the female foxes was 100% in the experiment group of THI , while that of the control group was 80%, there was significant difference (P<0.05) . The fertility of the THI group was higher than that of the control ( 90% VS 75% , P<0.05) . And significant difference was observed between the THI group and the control for the litter size (9.1 VS 7.2 , P<0.05 ) .With immunohistochemical analysis of follicular development , we discovered the percentage of primordial follicles in the THI group was lower than that in the control (P<0.01). But the percentages of primary follicles, secondary follicles and antral follicles in the THI group were higher than those in control(P<0.05). During implantation phase, there were 15.4±2.2 embryonic implantation sites in endometrium in THI group, however , there were only 5.8±1.4 in the control (P<0.01).In conclusions, the composite injection ( THI ) can improve effectively the rate of synchronized estrus, fertility, and the litter size of female foxes. It can increase the number of primary follicles, secondary follicles and antral follicles in ovaries. And it can also increase the quantity of the embryos for implantation. |
