The scenic forest of Beijing Xishan mostly are artificial forest, constructed in 50st last century.As the massively afforestation and the limit of the forestry science and technology, now the quality of the scenic forest is low : the tree species is simplex, the density is high,and the landscape quality is not well.Tending is an immoportant mean to heighten the quality .Strengthen the management not only can improve the trees growth,but also can meliorate the zoology entironment,provide graceful living circumstance and accelerate the forest tourism.As the research of forest tengding is focus on timber forest nowadays, the research of secnic forest is lacking, and the experience overseas also absent. Although it reinforce the research on this domain in recent years, but as the unabiding history, now the research findings is rest on theoretical level.This paper discuss the quantitative tending technique of scenic forest, take the two major trees Platycladus orientali and Pinus tabulaeformi for example, in the basis of its spatial structure character, and combined with its peculiarity and public's preference, choose the tending tree on the Platycladus orientali and Pinus tabulaeformi stand sample plot, in the end and evaluate the landscape quality after tending.The resut as follows:(1)The spatial structure of Xishan Platycladus orientali and Pinus tabulaeformi scenic forest is unreasonable.From the relation, the mean of the distribution of mingling of is Platycladus orientali and Pinus tabulaeformi is 0.21 and 0.23, belong to weakness mingling; from the tree's size differentiation,in the stand that Platycladus orientali and Pinus tabulaeformii are the main trees,Platycladus orientali and Pinus tabulaeformi are in the unconditional ascendant, their tree height, diameter and crown breadth are larger than other trsss;from the distribution of forest tree position, the mean uniform angle index of Platycladus orientali and Pinus tabulaeformi is 0.53 and 0.50, mostly are clumped.(2)Distributing state, coverage of shrubbery and herbage, big trees proportion are the most important factor that affect the scenic forest landscape quality .Take fuzzy evaluation to analyze public's preference of landscape. It indicate that distributing state is the most important factor that affect the scenic forest landscape quality; people like synthetical state the most,coverage of shrubbery and herbage,big trees proportion are in the second place,public prefer coverage of shrubbery and herbage is >l/3, and big trees proportion is >l/4.(3)The thinning based on structure unit can improve forest structure effectively. After thinning, the Platycladus orientali and Pinus tabulaeformi sample-plot's structure parameter had these changes: the uniform angle index changed from 0.53 and 0.55 to 0.42 and 0.43, the spatial structure changed from clumped distribution to regular distribution;the distribution of mingling changed from 0.26 and 0.19 to 0.28 and 0.23, the mix degree was enhanced; the neighbourhood comparison changed from 0.48 and 0.50 to 0.42 and 0.44, the predominance of unit's aim tree was enhanced..(4)The thinning based on structure unit can develop the landscape quality evidently. Before tending,the average core of the Platycladus orientali and Pinus tabulaeformi is 0.54 and 0.72,after tending its 4.38 and3.62.So tending can remarkably advance the scenic forest landscape quality.The innovation of this paper as follows:(l)Adopt the special structure theory on the scenic forest research the first time .In the basis of the special structurthe parameters such as the neighbourhood comparison, the uniform angle index and the distribution of mingling, the author analyze the secnic forest.(2)Adopt the fuzzy mathematics theory on the scenic forest reseach the first time, gain the influencing factor weighting and the grade of membership of the circs of scenic forest. The result can translate into actual design specification, direct the management of scenic forest, such as the tending trees choice.(3)Break through the limits of the academic in the basis of the special structure theory, and consult the people's reference , this paper bring forward the new tending method of scenic forest.
