The forest sustainable management is gradually becoming the focus of the society. People have realized the importance of sustainable management in forest management. On the premise of maintaining the health, energy, productivity and diversity of forest ecosystem, combining the human need and environmental value, achieve sustainable management of forest by ecology approach. In order to confirm if the forest is sustainable, we set up a decision model of forest management. It can describe accurately the future of forest business activities, and meanwhile, predict the growth, harvest and age structure information. We utilized the simulated annealing algorithm (SA) to solve this kind of problems in this paper. The simulated annealing algorithm is a new random search method, which was used to solve large dimension combinatorial problem. Compared with other algorithms, SA has lots of advantage, such as simple description, flexible using, high efficient and so on. SA make up of state producing function, acceptance function and temperature updating function, and outer and inner rules. These factors will effect on SA's velocity, convergence and robust.We applied simulated annealing algorithm to the planning of forest management in the Baihe Forestry Bureau in this paper. Seting up the forest management decision-making computation model on the basis of simulated annealing algorithm constrained by some spatial and age conditions. The object function is to maximize the annual timber volume. Analyzing the forest harvest schedule using the result of computer simulation and temporary dynamics of the forest age structure during 200 years in Baihe Forestry Bureau, and acquiring an efficient and exact forest management planning. It would promote the forest to maintain the sustainable development constrained by requirements of the society, economy and environment.
