Herbaceous peonies (Paeonia lactiflora Pall.) are traditional plants native to China, the florescence regulation has been one of the most important branches in peony commercial production. In our country, study on the forcing culture for spring festival and retarding culture of herbaceous peony has important practical significance. The forcing culture is often studied about chilling, hormone and control of disease, the retarding culture is often studied about chilling and cooling. In my study, 'Da Fu Gui' 'Qi Hua Lu Shuang' 'Tao Hua Fei Xue' were studied on the identification of growth stage, selection of the way and time of chilling, concentration of GA3,they were preliminarily studied on the retarding culture also. The main results were as follows:1. The growth progress of forcing culture of Herbaceous Peony can be identified as seven stages, includes germination, sprouting, branches growing, extension of leaves, buds showing, colour-changing bud, flowering.2. 'Da Fu Gui' was the most optimal cultival for forcing culture in these cultivars, refrigerated chilling was better than natural chilling, refrigerated chilling of 4 weeks at 0-4 ℃ efficiently released dormancy of 'Da Fu Gui'.,the optimal GA3 treatment was 100-250mg.L-1.3. GA3can advance sprouting, reduce the cumulative temperature of branches growing stage, buds showing stage, and the cumulative temperature from planting to flowering; GA3 also can advance flowering , increase flowering rate and extend flowering time .4. The temperature bellowing 0℃ can restrain the germination of peony; sprinkling can reduce temperature of Environment, but can increase the humidity, which can result diseases; sunshield net can reduce temperature, but can result impact the height and straight of plants.
