Epidemiological Investigation Of Swine Pseudorabies And Economic Returns Analysis For Prevention And Cure In Henan Province

Pseudorabies(PR)also called Aujeszky'disease is caused by pseudorabies virus ( PRV ) , which can infect many animals. Pseudorabies virus is a neurotropic alphaherpesvirus of the Herpesviridae family that is able to infect neurons of both the peripheral and central nervous systems of a wide variety of mammals and birds. Its clinical symptoms are characterized in piglets by fever, dyspnea, nerval symptom, salivation, and dead fetus, in grown-up animals by light symptom. Now, pseudorabies prevailing in range of the world, was found in more 20 provinces of China, and there was a trend of spreading and ascending. It also emerged in Henan Province, and influenced the development of pig industry.With the latex agglutination test of swine pseudorabies,8255 pigs were sampled to detect serum from 22 pig farms in Henan province. The serology masculine rate of pseudorabies reached to 30.95 percentages. By the epidemiological investigation of the methods of etiology, veterinary clinic, pathological anatomy from 6 pig farms, it indicated that pseudorabies was one of the main reasons which caused abortion disease of swines in Henan province, quarantine and...
