Epidemiological Investigation Of Porcine Pseudorabies In Parts Of Henan Province

Porcine pseudorabies is an acute and high contact infectiousdisease caused by the pseudorabies virus,it is harmful to porcine industry.In order toinvestigate the epidemic status of porcine pseudorabies in parts of Henan province,toprovide the reference for the prevention of porcine pseudorabies in Henanprovince.This test has carried on the porcine pseudorabies serological and etiologicinvestigation,it is mainly include:The submitted serum were detected with PRV gE-ELISA kit in parts of Henanprovince.From April2012to April2014,altogether2780serum samples from125pigfarms were detected,the results showed that,there were84positive pig farms in125detected pig farms,the positive rate of pig farms was67.2%；there were1260serumsamples in2780detected serum samples,the positive rate of serum sample was45.3%.The serum positive rate of South Henan area was the highest in Henan province,it was53.8%;the serum positive rate of North Henan area was the lowest,it was20.4%;theserum positive rates of West Henan、East Henan and Middle Henan were51.9%、46.4%and39.5%respectively.To statistics the detectable result of submitted serum indifferent stage pigs,the positive rate of breeding pigs was higher,the positive rate were48.9%、60.5%and52.9%of boars、multiparous sows and gilts respectively;while thepositive rate of commercial pigs was lower, the positive rates of nursing piglets、conservation pigs and fattening pigs were10.2%、11.4%and16.3%respectively.Tostatistics the detectable result of subimitted serum of sows in different parity,thepositive rates of1~2parity、3~4parity、5~6parity and more than6parity were58.6%、52.8%、62.9%and68.9%respectively. To statistics the detectable result ofsubimitted serum in different years,the serum positive rate was rising for thereyears,those were41.5%、45.1%and54.5%respectively.To statistics the detectableresult of subimitted serum in different seasons, the serum positive rate of spring、summer、autumn and winter were42.5%、44.5%、44.9%and48.6%respectively.Tostatistics the detectable result of subimitted serum in different scale pig farms,theserum positive rate of small and medium-sized pig farms was higher than the serumpositive rate of large-scale pig farms,those were54.7%and42.2%respectively;thepig farms positive rate of small and medium-sized pig farms was also higher than the pig farms positive rate of large-scale pig farms,those were75.6%and62.5%respectively.The subimitted suspicious epidemic materials were detected with PCR. From April2012to April2014,altogether368epidemic materials from85pig farms weredetected, there were49positive pig farms,the positive of pig farms was57.6%; therewere103positive samples,the positive rate of samples was28.0%. To statistics thedetectable result of subimitted epidemic materials in different regions,the positive rateof South Henan was highest,it was39.7%;the positive rate of North Henan waslowest,it was18.8%;the positive rate of East Henan、West Henan and Middle Henanwere25.5%、26.1%and29.1%respectively. To statistics the pig farms of PR positivein different regions,the pig farms positive rate of Middle Henan was highest,it was70.0%;the pig farms positive rate of North Henan was lowest,it was40.0%;the pigfarms positive rate of West、East and South were53.8%、60.0%and63.6%respectively,it suggested the PR epidemics were common in Henan province. Tostatistics the detectable result of subimitted epidemic materials with PCR at differenttimes,the positive rate was rising.To statistics the detectable result of subimittedepidemic materials with PCR in different season,the positive rate of autumn andwinter were higher,those were31.7%and34.5%respectively;the positive rate ofspring and summer were lower,those were23.9%and17.3%.The survey showed that PR showed epidemic situation in parts of Henanprovince,the infection pressure of pigs was greater,it was still a potential threat tohealthy development of porcine industry in Henan province.It is feasible to eradicateporcine pseudorabies in some pig farms in this epidemic situation through the pigswere immunized by PRV gE gene deletion of high quality,and monitoring to theserum regular by gE-ELISA kit, eliminating the positive pigs, implementingstandardized biosecurity measures.
