Fujian is an important forestry area in South China, where plants resources are rich. Because its vegetation dominated by subtropical evergreen broadleaved forest, the seasonal change in plants is not distinct. Therefore, when constructing landscape forest, it is well known that the trees of seasonal change are less, regardless of artificial control, it is difficult to break through the green to construct landscape forest which rich in color change. Along with the changes in time, forest landscape produced corresponding seasonal change, especially plant landscape in autumn. However, the mainstream of existing autumn landscape forest is still green, which can't show its colorful side. The purports of this research is to explore how to make full use of this natural rule that the shape and color of plant leaves, flower, fruit, branches and bark vary with the seasons in growing of plant, under the background of green. construct autumn landscape forest scientifically and rationally. make (lowers ornamental plants. fruit ornamental plants and color-leafed plants show fruitful, colorful and splendid views, so as to improve the quality of forest landscape, and make it rich in dynamic change.This research summarized the classification of main ornamental plants in fall from ornamental parts and life form, attempts to build a systemic classification system of main ornamental plants for autumn landscape forest. According to ornamental parts, it divided autumn ornamental plants into five categories: autumn color-leafed plants, autumn color-branched plants, autumn fruit ornamental plants, autumn (lowers ornamental plants and autumn posture ornamental plant, and further subdivided from different characteristic. According to life form, it divided autumn ornamental plants into four categories: timber, shrub, herb and vine.The research chose some representative areas in the province, and carried on an overall and systematic investigation into autumn ornamental plants in various regions by typical survey and integrated survey. The results showed that there are about 124 species main ornamental plants in autumn in I'ujian Province. They belong to 61 families and 102 genera. Among them. 1 family, 1 genus. 1 species belongs to pteridophyte; 5 family. 5 genus, 5 species belong to gymnosperm and 56 family. 97 genus. 119 species belong to angiosperm. By using scenic beauty estimation method, this research judged the main ornamental plants in autumn according to color-leafed, fruit ornamental and flowers ornamental. Furthermore, it comprehensively appraised and analyzed the scenic beauty by using multivariate quantified method, and established a prediction model for scenic beauty of various ornamental plants. Results show that six elements, which can be used as dominant factors of comprehensive scenic beauty evaluation for autumn color-leafed plants, were color of color leaves, definition of trunk, aggregation degree of color leaves and so on; eight elements, which can be used as dominant factors of comprehensive scenic beauty evaluation for autumn fruit ornamental plants, were fruit's salience, colors number of fruit, fruit size and so on; the flower or inflorescence size, inflorescence types, main flower color and main ornamental parts are used as dominant factors of comprehensive scenic beauty evaluation for autumn flowers ornamental plants.The each class of ornamental plants was arranged in scenic beauty. There are 24 species of color-leafed plants. 32 species of fruit ornamental plants and 16 species of flowers ornamental plants with higher appreciative value in autumn.Aiming at Plant design in autumn landscape forest construction, it put forward color index and evenness index, the two color evaluating indicator of forest landscape, and try to quantitative analyze plant design of forest landscape. By analyzing the relationship between color index, evenness index and scenic beauty showed that color index and evenness index can reflect scenic beauty of forest landscape in a certain extent. When color index is within 0.25-0.5. and evenness index above 1.25. forest landscape has higher scenic beauty. When color index is low, the uniformity of color distribution was improved properly so that it can enhance the scenic beauty in a certain extent. The increase of color abundance can also have higher appreciative value. At the same time, program of multiple liner regression is used to establish correlation equation for color evaluating indicator and scenic beauty. The equation can accurately describe the quantitative relationship between color index, evenness index and scenic beauty.
