Study On Scenic Beauty Estimation Of Guangzhou Baiyun Mountain Forest Park

In the present study, a method based on scenic beauty estimation(SBE) and psychophysical theory was used to research the forest communities landscape aesthetic in the Baiyun Mountain forest park in Guangzhou. With the SBE it take up some datas of the public scenic aesthetic and thus to classify the landscape scenery into different degrees.Therefor, to determinate and desgin the touring route for the forest park. It used SPSS software to analyse the variance, correlation, regression for the SBE value and to establish the predictive regressional model for the area..Based on the elements of plant landscape included plant morphology, colour and character, it may show that the influence of each element for SBE value data. The results of the research may be summarized as followings:(1)The results indicates the SBE in publics no matter of their background identically. But the scenic beauty estimation would be different with the professional knowledge of the publics in somecases.(2)Based on SBE standard value, among of the scenery spots, the peach forest and mosaic grassland is the best scenery spot that can be divided into A class. The other spots included the peak-park, Jiulongquan, Baiyun night looking spot, Yunxi ecological park, Guangzhou Forest of Steles, can be divided into B class. In other scenery spots such as Moxingling etc, are less attentionally.(3)Among the plants communities landscape, the community of Ficus+Peach+Terminalia+Rhapis+Begonia+Axonopus in the peach forest area is the most popular one. The other communities with flowering or seasonal aspect are also appreciatively..(4) Beauty prediction regression model for the park:SBE=2.545+0.051P+0.040C+0.027L+0.024G+0.021W (R2-0.366)P means flowering&colourleafed plants; C means architectural pieces; L means the lawn; G means the sky; W means the water area.The model indicates the influence of the landscape construction factors that is P>C>L>G>W.(5)For the elements of plant landscape included plant morphology, colour and character, the SBE value show that everyone take part in the reseach has the identical views.The colour of plants landscape is the most attachable factor, then is the plant morphology and the last is character factor.(6)Over the all, we suggest to reforest in those lacking scenic area with more colourful or flowering trees to increase the quality of the plant landscape. That will attract more publics to the forest park.
