In this study, four male-sterile lines (II-32A, Jin23A, Gang46A and Longtepu A) and five restorer lines (R402, R403, R405, R406 and R527) were used to creat 20 crosses by the way of incomplete dialect cross(NC II) design. Combining ability and inheritance of 10 agronomic traits were studied,as well as the breeding utilization of the new restores were evaluated.1. The variance of general combining ability(GCA) and special combining ability(SCA) for 10 agronomic traits were significant difference ,and the variance of the most traits of GCA was higher than that of SCA.The results indicated that these traits were mainly controlled by additive effects .The effects of male parents was stronger than that of female parents on plant height, productive panicle panicle length ,seed number ,seed setting growthing duration ,seed density and yield except 1000-grain weight.2. The correlation analysis indicated that the relationship between yield of per plant and grain number ,productive grain number ,seed density were positive significance at 1% level.The relationship between yield of per plant and sowing to heading days is positive significance at 0.05 level ,and the relationship between yield of per plant and productive panicle is negative significance at 0.05 level.The correlation efficients between the yield of per plant and grain number ,productive grain number ,seed density are higher .The results indicated that yield can be improved by improving these traits,and the relative efficiency is higher .The correlation coefficientBetween yield and productive grain number is highest ,which demonstrate that the productive grain number is the most important components of yield,and yield can be improved through improving productive grain number.3. The GCA effects of the same parents of different traits is significant difference,they are positive effects or negative effects .the GCA effects of plant height is from -4.551 to 3.2352 ,and the ampliated range is 7.6903 Genetic characteristic of the same trait of different parents is significant difference.In the 10 traits of plant height, productive panicle,productive grain number ,total grain number,seeding setting,sowing to heeding days ,seed denisity,1000-grain weight and yield of per plant,the variance Of GCA of sowing to heading days ,plant height,seed setting and seed density are significant difference in male parents. GCA variance of productive grain number, grain number and yield of per plant is significant at 0.01 level,and plant height is significant at 0.05 level.SCA analysis indicated that value of SCA is different in the crosses of the same A line with different R lines,or the same R lines with different A lines.The relationship between SCA and GCA is not significant.4. The broad heritability of the traits are high except productive panicle and seed density .The sort of narrow heritability is 1000-grain weight ,plant height,sowing to heading days ,panicle length, productive, grain number,seed density,seed setting ,yield of per plant,total grain number and productive panicle .5. Because of the good combining ability and integrate agronomic traits ,it is regarded that R405 and R406 are two elite restorer lines in breeding application.
