The foreign large-scale sugarcane harvester does not adapt to the upland, slopingfield and irregular sugarcane planting of our country. However, the mechanization of thedomestic mini-type sugarcane harvester is low and there is no series of mature productcoming out. Aiming at such status of the sugarcane harvester and using tools of virtualdesign and simulation, the paper provides the designing basis for manufacturing theplatforms of small sugarcane harvester. Papers have the following works. First, thepaper is studied and compared the research results of the other peoples; Secondly, thepaper studied and done a detailed analysis to the movement and working theory of thedevice of the cut sugarcane machine. According to the results of the analysis, the paperproposed the design steps and the method of designing specific parameters of the cuttingdevice. Thirdly, the paper proposed a design of the split-type platform of the sugarcaneharvester and analyzed the designing. At last, according to the results, the paper madevirtual model.According to result of the research for the holding sugarcane machine andconsidering the designing requirements of the small sugarcane harvester, the paperdecided to adopt the traditional spiral holding sugarcane device and determined themain parameters to design the holding sugarcane device.The factors of cutting performance impacted greater on cutting quality ofsugarcane. Though kinetic analysis and simulation, the paper improved the structure ofthe cutting sugarcane device. First, the paper got the experience formula of walkingspeed, rotation speed of disk and tilt angle of cutting disk. Secondly, the paper got thecutting edge ling trajectory equation, missing cutting conditions, repeating cuttingconditions, less than N to be cut off and experienced conditions, cutter location conditions.According the result, the paper made virtual new cutting device and new platformof sugarcane harvester. The result of this paper provided a basis for made sugarcaneharvester and designing of small sugarcane harvester expert system.
