Stripe rust, caused by Puccinia striiformis f.sp.tritici,is one of the most serious diseases of wheat in the worldwide, and planting resistant cultivars is the most effective andeconomical and envirment friendly methods to control this disease. But one cultivar breakdown its resistance in several years because of resistant gene single and overcomed easily by pathogen. So, for controlling stripe rust, identifying new resistance genes is an effective way. Therefore identify and evaluation the resistance genes which were known by using prevanlent races in China in present, and applying these genes to resistance breeding effectively were important measure to settle the problem of cultivars resistance breakdown. Psathyrostachys huashanica Keng(2N=14) is a rarity plant, which distributes at Huashan Mountain in qinling ridge, And takes on many excellet characteristics such as against disease, tolerance to coldness and drought, sustain barren, high quality. Psathyrostachys huashanica Keng have resistance to all prevanlent races of stipe rust in China proved through the experiment and its resistance genes can be expression well in all wheat background. its a very good resistant resource. In the research the population of crosses of translocation line derived Psathyrostachys huashanica Keng with susceptible cultivar Mingxian 169 was developed,.population were used to be test with prevanlent races of Puccinia striiform, race CY29, CY30, CY31, CY32, SU11 in China for resistance and to be take for genetic analysis and molecular mapping, The results are as follows:1,Psathyrostachys huashanica Keng and its parents 7182 of three translocation lines derived Psathyrostachys huashanica Keng and its parents were tested with stripe rust CY29, CY30 ,CY31, CY32, SU11 which are prevalent in China at present, all of them were resistance to stipe rust races The resistance genes all may be come form Psathyrostachys huashanica by projenies analysis.2.Genetic analysis result for population sugguested that there was one dominant gene controlled when tested with CY29, CY30, CY31, CY32, SU11 in translocation line H9020-1-6-8-3. there was single dominant gene controlled when tested with CY29, CY30 in substitution line H9020-17-25-6-4,and there were single dominant gene and recessive gene controlled when tested with CY32, there were two dominant genes controlled when tested with SU11. there were two complementary recessive genes control]led when tested with either race CY29 or CY30 in H9020-17-15-4-12, single recessive gene controlled when tested with CY31, and two recessive genes controlled when tested with either race CY32 or SU11.3.Population form H9020-1-6-8-3, which had one dominant resistant gene(temporarily named YrHs) whatever it was male or female parent, were marked with. SSR maker using BSA method, Two molecular markers, Xgwm261 and Xgwm455, were located on chromorome 2DL. The map distance between Xgwm261 and Xgwm455 to YrHs are 4.3cM and 5.8cM respectively. The application of marker-assisted selection for the breeding new wheat cultivars with the stripe rust resistance gene is discussed.
