There are three wild rice in our country and the three wild rice are the common wild rice (Oryza rufipogon Griff.),the medical wild rice(Oryza officinalis Wall.ex Watt) and the wart wild rice(Oryza mcyeriana Baill.).The three wild rice has distributed in Hainan province, the common wild rice is the most extensive in the three wild rice in Hainan. The common wild rice is the wild relatives of the general rice, its genome is the same and the style of the genome is the AA. The common wild rice is the very important germ plasm resource, it has many excellent properties. We have gained many new rice breeds by hybridization or gene engineering technology. These new breeds are high yields, can resist adversity or resist plant diseases and insect pests, they help the development of our country agriculture. But the growth environment of the common rice has been deteriorating and the common rice has been destroying seriously. Hainan is the base of breed in the south of our country, the breed of transgenic gene has increased recently, so the possibility of gene flow in the transgenic gene and the common wild rice also has been increasing. This is a huge breakage for the common wild rice in Hainan then let the common wild rice disappear. So, we shall study the possibility of the gene flow in the transgenic rice and the common wild rice to accelerate the safety juge of the transgenic rice.In this research, we reviewed the abloom and reproduction propensities of common rice in Hainan, and compared the propensities of common wild rice and general rice. We discovered that the florescence of common wild rice concentrated from October to December, the florescence of general rice was the same as common wild rice, their flowering phases were accordant. It was from 11:30 to 12:30 in the noon. The flowering phase of the common wild rice and the flowering phase of the transgenic rice could encounter. These accorded with the qualification of gene flow.We used the cytology and molecular biology method to study the possibility of gene flow in transgenic rice and common wild rice. We took the transgenic rice to the pollen parent and the common wild rice to the female parent, let them hybridize and observed the process while the self pollination of common wild rce was the control. The result showed that they had sexual compatibility and then let them hybridize then carried out the detection of PCR and resistance of the Basta for the seedlings. We found that there were seedlings in the offspring of the hybridization in the natural condition. These further approved there was gene flow in transgenic rice and common wild rice from the molecular level. These results offered the scientific basis to the conservation of the common wild rice.
