1. The quality analysis from 112 varieties in the nationThe protein content showed were average of 14.82%, the average of sedimentary values were 30.48ml, the wet gluten contents were average of 33.42% and the average of stability time were 4.85min.56 samples off 112 were the higher quality for protein content in terms of strong gluten standard, 25samples off 112 were high quality for protein contents, 19 off 112 were medium and 12 off 112 werecommon with the same standard.58 samples from 112 were higher quality for wet gluten in terms ofhighest quality of wheat standard, 22 were high quality, 16 were medium and 16 were common with thesame standard.5 samples from 112 were high quality for sendimentary value, 60 from 112 were mediumand 47 from 112 were common.34 samples from 112 were the highquality for stable time, 50from 112were medium, and 28 from 112 were low quality. Most of varieties tested were medium grade for gluten strength. The higher quality wheat is Passicalfrom four main quality characters according to the data. The variation coefficients of stable time andsedimentary value were high, protein content and wet gluten were medium, and starch content andwater absorption were common for variation coefficients.2.The quality analyzed of the Lunxuan haoThe average values for the protein contents, the sedimentary values, the wet gluten contents and thestable time were 14.77%, 28.76 ml, 33.36% and 4.55min respectively.Wheat quality is one of the main objectives of wheat breeding in China. To evaluate the Geneticpotential of wheat varieties (lines) in the north of China, especially for quality breeding, mainagronomic traits and quality characters, forty-three hiemal wheat varieties in North of China wereinvestigated; new wheat varieties quality characters for one handred and twelve in China, most varietiesin northern wheat zone, were analyzed; another fourty eight Lunxuan hao, also were analyzed. Theresults were showed as follow:3.The evolvement of agronomic traits for main wheat in fifty years:Those agronomic traits were plant height, spike length, spikelet number and 1000-grain weight, whichtook on variations in size, number, and weight along with the variation of time. After fifty years for improvement of breeding the plant height varies from 118.3cm at the beginning ofthe test to 89.11cm in the fifth decade with the decrease of 29.19cm. The 1000-grain weight also waschanged at the same period, and the variation was from 30.45g to 46.09g with the increase of15.64g.The changes of the spikelet number and the spike lengths were 38.19,32.32,32.00,36.10,33.20,36.54 and 9.43cm,8.83cm,8.67cm.8.61cm,8.38cm and 8.50cm respectively. The variation of spikelength was a little with the decrease of 0.95cm compared to the beginning of the test.4. Quality characters analysis of hiemal wheat in the north:These quality characters were protein content, wet gluten content, sedimentary value and stable time. The protein content and the wet gluten content were 14.78%,13.50%,13.13%,14.23%,13.77%. 13.23% and 37.41%34.M%32.88%35.89°A3435% and 33.48% respectively at that period.Sedimentary value and stable time were 24.27ml,22.01ml,18.22ml,22.43ml,17.98ml,22.39ml and 4.59min.,4.42min.,3.2min., 5.04min.,4.5min. and 4.06min. separately at the same period. It was seen from the statistical result that there was a large change of variation coefficient for sedimentary value and stable time, but the viriation coefficients were placed in the center for protein content and wet gluten, and there was a small change of variation coefficient for the starch content and the absorption of water.
