This thesis studies morphogenesis, biomass production of different growthstages of Y Liangyou 1 with the checks of Pei'ai64S/E32,the super hybrid ricecombination with model plant-type and Shanyou 63, the most popularized threelinehybrid in China. The aims of these studies on the dynamic plant structure of YLiangyou 1 are giving some support to enhance its yield though cultivationtechnology and some ideas about ideotype breeding on super-hybrid rice. The mainresults are as follows:1,Y Liangyou 1 has lower leaf appearance rate and lower filleting rate. Theaverage leaf appearance rate of the leaves from the seventh to twelfth leaf on the mainstem is 3.91 days,which is 0.45 day and 0.72 day longer than those ofPei'ai64S/E32 and Shanyou 63 respectively.2,Y Liangyou 1 has lower canopy height and higher plant height. Its canopyheight is 22.3cm at the seven-leaves stage, which is 2.2cm and 5.2cm shorter thanthat of Pei'ai64S/E32 and Shanyou 63 respectively. Its canopy height is 10.9cm,16.2cm and 14.3cm shorter than that of Pei'ai64S/E32 at critical stage of effectivetiller emergence(N-n stage),later jointing stage and booting stag respectively.3,Y Liangyou 1 has shorter leaf blade and smaller leaf area of upmost threeleaves at heading stage. A lenth of 37cm for the flag leaf and that a lenth of 49cm and58cm respectively, for the second and the third leaf from top,which is 11.35cm,23.25cm and 21.57cm shorter than that of Pei'ai64S/E32 respectively, and 6.2cm,10.72cm and 5.57cm shorter than that of Shanyou 63 respectively.4,Y Liangyou 1 has lower leaf angle over the uppermost 3 leaves at early stageand larger leaf angle for flag leaf, but lower leaf angle of the lower flag leaves atheading stage. The average leaf angle is 26.9°, which is 5.5°lower than that ofShanyou 63 at N-n stage. The leaf angle of the flag leaf is 21.6°, which is 14.8°largerthan that of Pei'ai64S/E32 at heading stage.5,Y Liangyou 1 has drooper leaf blade at early stage and smaller leaf droopangle over uppermost 3 leaves at jointing stage. The leaves are erect at heading stage. The average droopy angle is 40.1°in top 3 leaves, 12.2°larger than those ofPei'ai64S/E32, 23.6°smaller than those of Shanyou 63 at N-n stage. The averagedroopy angle is 13.4°and 3°in top 3 leaves at jointing stage and booting stagerespectively, 11.4°and 4°smaller than those of Pei'ai64S/E32 respectively.6,Y Liangyou 1 has fooler leaf blade surface and has lower rolling index (LRI)atheading stage. The LRI is 32.5% and 25.3% lower than those of Pei'ai64S/E32 in flagleaf and inverse second leaf respectively.7,Y Liangyou 1 has longer leaf distance at heading stage. The distance betweenthe inverse forth leaf and the inverse third leaf is 12.4cm, which is 4.9cm and 2.0cmlonger than that of Pei'ai64S/E32 and Shanyou 63 respectively. The distance betweenthe inverse third leaf and the inverse second leaf is 23.1cm,which is 8.8cm and 5.0cmlonger than that of Pei'ai64S/E32 and Shanyou 63 respectively.8,Y Liangyou 1 has shorter basal intorode and longer the third and the inversethird intorode. The first intorode from the bottom is 1.7cm. The third and the inversethird intorode is 21.3 cm and 22.4cm respectively.9,The eares of Y Liangyou 1 are erect at the heading panicle and the panicle ishigher than the flag leaf. The seedling density is 7.9 spikelets per centimeter.
