The inhibitory activity against pyricularia grisea of extracts extracted fromStellera chamaejasme were studied. The results showed that the ethyl acetateextracts had a best inhibitory activity on Pyricularia grisea . The sublevelcontents extracted from ethyl acetate also were studied. The inhibitory activitysequences were:Ⅲ>Ⅳ>Ⅱ>Ⅰ. TheⅢextract at 1.313 mg/ml could inhibit themycelia growth at 100%even at the eighth day. Observed in the invertedmicroscope, it was found that the mycelia inhibitoried byⅢextracts had beendeformed and the protoplasm distribution was not homogeneous; the sporepartitions had disappeared and the surface of the spores were outgrowth asherpes shape. Observed in the electronmicroscope, it was found that thecytoplasm dealed with byⅢextracts was concentrated, plasmolysis happened, many cell organelles were disappered.
