Plough surface is the main part of the plough body. The design method and design quality affect it's performance evidently. At present, the design of the plough mainly follows the experiences. The description and geometry analysis are mostly made by hands. Plough surface is the main part of the plough body. The design method and design quality affect it's performance evidently. Up to now, the design of the plough mainly follows the experiences. The description is mostly made by hands. Of course, its definition and efficiency are less, and it is difficulty that make plough by modern means. Those are its defects. With the renovating in computer technology and in soil cultivating theory, advanced design method is more and more important in agriculture development. The intent of the study is which modern method and theory of designing are applied to design of plough surface and increasing efficiency and quality of designing and developing a three-dimension CAD system of the plough surface.This study is based on the points of t three traditional different types plough surface, by using Pro/ENGINEER's tools of reverse engineering rebuilds plough surface, and then builds a parameterize model, at last, a three-dimension CAD system of the plough surface was developed by using Pro/TOOLKIT. it can represents the three-dimension structure of plough surface professionally by inputting needed parameters. Main research contents are as follows: (1) researches on the techonolgy of further development of Pro/ENGINEER ;(2) Points-cloud collection by using coordinate measuring machine and rebuilds plough surface by using Pro/ENGINEER; (3) selects a set of parameter of plough surface (4) Builds a parameterize model by using plough surface of rebuilding, develops a three-dimension CAD system of the plough surface was developed by using Pro/TOOLKIT and VC; (5) The geometry and farming capability of plough surface that is builded by the CAD system has been analyzed based on the smoothness theory of surface;The analyse shows that the geometry and farming capability of plough surface is better. The study develops a new parameterize design method based on further development of Pro/ENGINEER, and a three-dimension CAD system of the plough surface was developed . The study has significant meanings, the users can easily cut design period to meet market challenges by using this new CAD system.
