Liriomyza is one of the most important pests which harm to vegetables and flowers. Based on Zhumadian Institute of Vegetable Research and forestry science, through field investigation and laboratory test, this paper systematically study the biology of Liriomyza in nature field and harmful character. Our main tasks are: (1) the species of greenhouse Liriomyza and occurrence rules in Zhumadian areas, (2) study on the biological characteristics of Liriomyza sativae and cold tolerance of pupae on vegetable beans, (3) the harm of several Liriomyza mixed occurrence and control technology (4) and loss of greenhouse Liriomyza for vegetable beans. The results are as follows:Four species of Liriomyza which endanger the vegetables and flowers were found in Zhumadian:L. sativae blanchand,L. huidobrensis blanchard,L. chinensis (kato) and L.congesta (becker), which are different in morphology, plant hosts, distribution and bionomics. In Zhumadian, there are 2 harmful peak, respectively in the middle of May and late August, and the harm of the first peak are worse than the second one.To investigate the bionomics of Liriomyza and the cold tolerance of pup, we studied the Liriomyza raised in greenhouse on Florist Cineraria. The results showed that at 15℃, 20℃, 25℃, 30℃, 35℃, the entire generation's developmental periods are respecitvely 47.0d, 25.0d, 15.5d, 12.5d, 12.0 d. Beginning temperatures of Liriomyza sativae's egg, larva, pupa and entire generation's growth are respecitvely 8.5℃,9.8℃,10.2℃,10.4℃on Florists Cineraria. The effective accumulated temperature respectively is 52.7℃·d,75.8℃·d,158.5℃·d,262.2℃·d. Liriomyza sativae has 9 generations on Florists Cineraria in zhumadian every year. In the greenhouse, it occurs in the whole year. The order developmental periods on Florists Cineraria,callestephus chinensis,cucumber and pea's is cucumber > callestephus chinensis > florists cineraria > pea in the greenhouse. But the order of pupa's emergence rate is pea> florists cineraria > callestephus chinensis> cucumber. At 10℃, 0℃, -15℃, -20℃, the longer, Liriomyza sativae pupa stayed in low tempertature, the higher the mortality rate was. After it exposeed for 24 hours at the low temperature, its survival percentage is 0 at -15℃. The Liriomyza sativae could not survive in the winter. The research indicated, the hazard grade is associated with production when the Liriomyza hazarded plum bean in the early time. Along with the hazard area increasing, the pore degree reduced and the pore closed; The tendency of photosynthetic rate is to 0 and the transpiration rates also has changed. The loss is more than 96% in the 4th hazard grade without harvest.The investigation indicated, several kinds of Liriomyza occurred together and were serious on the vegetable flowers. Liriomyza sativae, Liriomyza huidobrensis and Liriomyza congesta often hazard together on the bean, Florists Cineraria and cucumber. Also, it has the diverting harm habit. The contol target is 1.5/leaf properly, when three kinds of Liriomyza simultaneously harm. Addicted host and non-addicted host could be planted together, which will reduce the harm, so it is right to control the addicted host fistly.
