Report On Forest Pests In Zhumadian, Henan Province

In order to better forecast occurrence dynamics of the major forestry pests in Zhumadian, Henan Province,correct inference of the occurrence in the future,and full controlling preparation for the forestry pests of Zhumadian,We have conducted a large-scale investigation of forestry pests in Zhumadian,including 233 kinds of dangerous forest pests published by the State Forestry Administration and 19 kinds of forestry quarantine pests published by State Forestry Administration released(2004 No.4),as well as 20 kinds of forestry pests made by Department of Henan Province Forestry and 8 kinds of additional forestry quarantine pests.Through our investigation,it is the first time to identify that there are more than 30 major pests in the city,and make clearly the type,geographical scope and distribution and the harzard of the forestry pests in Zhumadian city,the results are as follows:(1)140 kinds of total forest pests in Zhumadian are clear,in which including 102 forest insects,32 forest dieases and 6 harmful plants.(2)A total of 31 kinds of 233 kinds of forest pests published by the State Forestry Administration:including 19 forest insects,6 forest dieases and 6 harmful plants.(3)A total of 13 kinds of total 20 kinds of forestry pests made by Henan Province Forestry Department and 8 kinds of additional forestry quarantine pests:including 10 forest insects and 3 forest dieases.(4)A total of 7 kinds of the invisive species from other foreign countries or province were discovered firstly.They are Semiothisa cinerearia Bremer et Grey;Apriona Swainsoni(Hopc); Lecanosticta acicola(Thum)sydom;Eulecanium Kuwanai(Kanda);Cydia trasias Meyrick;Drosicha corpulenta(Kuwana);Enmonodia uespertilio(fabricius)。(5)The couses of occurrence of the forest pests in Zhumadian city maily include: Objective reasons:①Zhumadian City located in the subtropical and warm temperate transition zone,a moderate and moist climate,which is suitable for a variety of tree growth, but also for a variety of the occurrence of forest diseases and insect pests.②The increasing of artificial pure forest and irrational forest stand make a single type of food of plant diseases and insect pests.③The changed green pattern transform the original structure of the pest.④A large number of pests and pathogens are in existence.⑤Warming and drought climate is other reasons for the poplar widespread and serious harzard of the plant diseases and insect pests.⑥Urban environmental degradation undermines the stability of the ecosystem.⑦More generations and overlap occurrence is harmful for control.Sujective reasons:①Improper forest measures,extensive management and poor forest hygiene.②incomplete quarantine system.③mistaken forestry harmful biological control strategy,④weak capability of control and mitigation on pest disaster.⑤lack of prevention and management funds.(6)We raise the scientific and technological innovation and mechanism innovation as the driving force,strengthen the building of the forestry harmful biological control capacity, speed up the establishment of early warning monitoring system,quarantine system mitigating system for disaster prevention,realize strategic transfer of the control aim from elimination to protection,improve the level of pests defense and the progressive realization of sustainable pest measures.
