In the course of preparing the 80% imidacloprid water dispersible granules (WG), first prescription was prepared by reduplicate experiment with experience. For the scientific filtration, the wetter was screened out with "flow point" testing, and method of orthogonal design applied for optimization of the prescription at the base of primary experiment. Finally, four recipes with excellent physical and chemical performance were screened out.This paper also researched several factors of affecting the quality of imidacloprid WG, such as wetter, dispersant, binder, water process technique, baking temperature, process technique, diluted times and so on.1. According to the experiments, some conclusion could be concluded: (1) The disintegration time of WG could speed up by good wetters. (2) Pulverizing manner and dispersant were the most important effects on the dispersible property of imidacloprid WG. (3) High suspension rate of WG could be obtained if the dispersant can provide high Zeta potential. (4) The dispersant has less effect on surface tension of dilution and suspension retention on the cabbage leaves. (5) The binder could affect the degree of kneading of the powder, and it also can stay the disintegration of WG in the water.2. Dosage of water added before granulation was the significant factor influenced process of granulating.3. Baking temperature and baking time impact disintegration of WG significantly.4. Water temperature, water hardness and the dilution times of suspension could effect the stability of the suspension respectively, Among the three factors, the dilution times was the most important, water hardness was the second important, and the water temperature was the third important. Detailedly, the suspension rate became higher following the increase of dilution times, and reduced following the raise of hardness and temperature of water.By bioassay of aphid, the prescription with best efficacy was screened out from the four recipes. And its LC50 was 4.419mg/L, its bioactivity was better than 70% Imidacloprid WG produced by Bayer CropScience.With primary factors of affecting the quality of imidacloprid WG known, combined with completion of bioactivity for typical prescription, the preferential prescription was obtained, and the analysis method was established, the process route was optimized. Performance testing and checking proved the favorable prescription to be a reliable standard for industrialization by polit amending.
