Precision seeding is an important way to improve agricultural productivity and the precision of seed-metering device's performance detection is a key factor. It is necessary to enhance the reliability, the capacity of resisting disturbance and the adaptability of the detection system since this will not only improve the seed-metering device's performance, save man-power, but also will avoid miss and improve productivity. At present, most of seed-metering device's detection systems use single chip to monitor its performance.Based on the existing precision seeding detection system in our country, this paper tries to use programmable FX2N as its central control unit and applies industrial automation PLC to agricultural machinery. It employs PLC and laser beam grid sensor for the detection of seed flow in the designing of precision seeding detection system. Through analyzing the various types of precision seed-metering device, a better installation position for the sensor is proposed. The programmable control unit and the FX2N PLC are proposed to make the detection system automatic, and with the programmable control PLC software, the seed detection system chart is designed. During the process of actual debugging, the programmable control PLC can be automatically controlled and operated and single chip is flexible and easy to monitor. Since the working condition of seed-metering device is often bad and susceptible to outside interference, this paper also analyzes the main sources of interference for the programmable control PLC and proposes ways to reduce interferences, thus ensuring its reliability and performance.
