Alpine Rhododendron is a race of numerous horticulture plant, called flowers king, held important status in the horticulture garden. In order to promote its plant resources development, increase the industrial development, we embarked cutting Propagation research on Rhododendron decorum Franch. and made tissue culture research on Rhododendron delavayi Franch., the two Alpine Rhododendron is more precious.The main results of cutting Propagation research on Rhododendron decorum Franch. Could be concluded as followings:1.The effect of various cutting was different. The half ligneous stem cutting could recover of callus, but no root-taking;the cutting with old branch directly realized root-taking in the lenticels of cutting base ,without callus, preliminary judged it was lenticels root-taking plant.2.Hormone realized the root-taking of the cutting with old branch,the study shows that cutting were treated by Dip N Grow was the best treatments among six different ones. The rooting rate could reach 51.36%, the average of figures of the adventitious rooting of cutting was more than others and the longest length root was longer than others.3.The study shows that the result of cutting treated by Dip N Grow concentration was different, the four root - taking item of cutting treated by Dip N Grow(1:10)were the best, The original fluid of Dip N Grow had less effect,the experiment showed that highly concentrated hormone could be inhibit root-taking.4.In the soaking-time experiment, the rooting rate of fast dip was highly, with process time extension, the rooting rate reduced, explained that the soaking time had certain influence on root-taking.5.The cutting which with the spoiled nature earth + pearlite (3:1) was the best treatment among five different ones, the rooting rate could reach 51.36%. The spoiled nature earth and the pearlite have the respective good and bad points, the independent employment will have certain aspect flaw, the mixed use may make up mutually, enhances the cutting result.6.The number of leaves have influence on cutting experiment, the study showed that retained 2~3 piece of leaves had good effect. the study showed that the cutting retained 2~3 piece of leaves treated by Dip N Grow(1:10)for fast dip in the spoiled nature earth + pearlite(3:1) could have good root-taking, the rooting rate reached 51.36%.The main results of tissue culture research on Rhododendron delavayi Franch. could be concluded as followings: 1.The suitable explant of initial culture was two year tender stem section, the one year section was more tender, was easy to die after sterilization. It is suitable to sampling explants in April, at this time bud rate of tissue culture was highest, pollution and brownish rate were low.2.The total phenols content and PPO activity of 1~3 years leaf blade and stem apex was higher than stem section. The total phenols content and PPO activity of three years explant was higher than two years and one year, two years and one year had no remarkable difference, PPO activity also had the similar tendency. The total phenols content and PPO activity was low in April and high in July.3.The sterilized effect treated by 0.1%HgCl2 for 8 min was good for explants. It was proven efficient to inhabiting brownish supplying with 1.0g/L Ac in medium.4.The optimal combination of stem section in initial culture was 1/4MS+ 0.75 mg/L NAA +2-ip 2.0mg/L,the bud rate could be reached 79.02%.5.The seed aseptic germination was high in medium MS+1.0mg/L GA3, germination rate reached 83%. Stem axis could be induced callus in 1/4MS+ 1.0mg mg/L NAA + 2.5 mg/L 2-ip +30.0mg/L sugar, the callus rate reached 79.45%. The suitable condition was that cultured in darkness for two weeks then presented illumination. 6. The optimal combination of callus differentiation was 1/4MS+TDZ 0.5mg/L+ NAA 1.2mg/L+2-ip 2.0mg/L+ AgNO3 1.0mg/ L, the differentiation rate reached 50.32%. A part of callus was differentiation bud and root at the same time.7.In subculture process, the bud from stem initial culture stopped to grow, may be plant recalcitrance. The bud from callus could be multiplication in 1/4MS+NAA 2.0mg/L+2-ip 2.0mg/L+ GA3 0.5mg/L, the multiplication index was 3.43.8. The suitable rooting medium was1/4MS+ NAA 2.0mg/L+ IBA0.4mg/L, the rooting rate was 45.67%, waiting for further enhances.survival rate was high in substance mixed with spoiled nature earth +yellow sand + pearlite(3:1:1), reached 57.32%. The survival rate of non-mycelium which formed bud and root in callus differentiation was 43.78%.In order to develop the use of the two Alpine Rhododendrons, study on the Asexual Propagation, enabled its ornamental value to obtain the widespread utilization in the horticulture garden, enriched asexual propagation technology of Alpine Rhododendron,provided reference and rests for other Alpine Rhododendron.
