As a kind of agricultural machinery with high power, the effect on energy saving of the sugarcane combine harvester will impact directly on the economy and reliability in work. The load of the sugarcane combine harvester, in practice, is protean during the course of work, which will lead to frequent and drastic fluctuation of the engine speed and serious fuel consumption. In addition, since the working process of the harvester is complicated and the components complex, the pressure and the flow rate of hydraulic system are mutative, as a result, the losses of overflow and throttle are serious. To reduce the energy loss, the power of the harvester must be reasonably matched.The essential reason for the losses of overflow and throttle is that the pressure and flow rate provided by pump can not match the just needs of the load and they, more often than not, are greater than the actual demand of the load. Consequently, the redundant part of the hydraulic power is wasted in the form of overflow and throttle. To reasonably match the power of the pump and the load, the LS(load sensing) control technology, according to the characteristics of the harvester, was suggested to be applied to the harvester and the LS system was detailed designed and studied. The results show that the LS system can provide the just pressure and flow rate the load needed and has a good performance in energy saving. In view of the flow rate of hydraulic systems with multi-actuators is liable to be saturated, to rationally match the flow rate of multi-actuators and improve the reaping quality of sugarcane, the flow-shunt technology for multi-actuators in the Combine sugarcane harvester was studied in this paper.To reasonably match the power of the pump and the diesel, the pressure of the hydraulic system was suggested to be detected and filtered as the reference to set the diesel speed at which the effect on energy-saving is the best or the power is the maximum.To control the best set speed of the diesel, accordance to the characteristics of the mechanical centrifugal governor used in the diesel presently, the program of diesel electronic transformation based on the force feedback was put forward for the first time, and the speed control system was detailed carried out and simulated. The results show that the program can achieve the precise control of the diesel speed.
