Effect Of Periplaneta Americana L. On Performance In Male Broilers And Research Of The Mechanism

The purpose in this article is studying on the effect of Periplaneta Americana L.on performance,immune function,antioxidation,antimicrobial activity of intestinal and meat quality traits of broilers in broilers and the mechanism.Research method:495 1-day-old male broilers were randomly divided into 5 groups,each group included 3 replicates,33 broilers per replicate.GroupⅠwas control group fed with basal diet,and GroupⅡfed with basal diet supplemented with antibiotics,GroupⅢ,Ⅳ,Ⅴfed with the basal diet supplemented with the Periplaneta Americana L.2.0%,1.0%,0.5%substituted the Peruvian fishmeal respectively to investigate the effects on performance,immune,function,antioxidation function and meat quality traits.The whole feeding experiment was divided into two stages,namely 0～3 weeks and 4～10 weeks.①Performance:in the stage of 10th week,compared with GroupⅠ,the feed-gain ratio in GroupⅢ,GroupⅣ,GroupⅤdecreased by 8.06%(P＜0.01),6.05%(P＜0.01),5.24%(P＜0.05) respectively,compared with GroupⅡ,the feed-gain ratio in GroupⅢ,GroupⅣ,GroupⅤdecreased by 4.60(P＜0.05),2.51%(P＞0.05),1.67%(P＞0.05)respectively;the daily weight gains in GroupⅢwas the best,and the death rate in GroupⅢwas the lowest,compared with GroupⅠand GroupⅡ,they increased by 3.45%(P＞0.05),1.87%(P＞0.05)and decreased by 41.67%(P＞0.05),28.59(P＞0.05)respectively;compared with the control,blood urea nitrogen and serum uric acid level of the three Periplaneta americana L.meal treatments all had decreasing tendency,but had not significant difference(p＞0.05).②Immune function:in the stage of the 6th and 10th week,the indexes of spleen,thymus and bursa of fabricius of GroupⅢwere significantly higher than those of the controls(P＜0.05);in the stage of the 10th week,compared with the controls,total protein,globulin and albumin in serum of the three Periplaneta americana L.treatments all had improvement trend,but had not significant differences(p＞0.05).③Antioxidation:in the stage of 4th,6th,8th,10th week,the content of T-AOC and SOD in GroupⅢwere significantly higher than those of the controls(P＜0.05),while that of MDA were significantly lower(P＜0.05).④Antimicrobial activity of intestinal:in the stage of 10th week,compared with the GroupⅠ,the count of caecum coliform in GroupⅢ,Ⅳ,Ⅴimproved markedly,and GroupⅢwas the best(P＜0.01).⑤Meat quality traits:in the stage of 10th week,compared with GroupⅠand GroupⅡ,the muscle pH value,drip loss,muscle shear stress,cooked meat percentage in GroupⅢ,Ⅳ,Ⅴall had improvement trend,but had not significant differences(p＞0.05),meanwhile,sampling detection the residues in the chicken of GroupⅢ,the result showed that the heavy metals and the microbial content in the chicken of GroupⅢwere within the safety range and basically qualified to Food Sanitation Standard.Conclusion:①Periplaneta Americana L.can replace fish meal as insect feed ingredient on male broiler formula feed,and can improve the performance of male broilers.②Periplaneta Americana L.can improve the immune function,antioxidation,antimicrobial activity of intestinal markedly,possessing the growth promoting function and disease resistance enhancement.③It shows that the effect of Periplaneta Americana L.has direct ratio relations with the addition quantity on little gradient addition.④The meat of the male broilers fed with the Periplaneta Americana L.can reach the standard of non-pollution and its quality would not change.
