In this paper, Periplaneta americana was studied on its suitable feeding conditions, bait vectors and better insecticidal plants through contrast tests. Then optimum proportion of complex preparation was screened. The plant preparation with better toxic effect on Periplaneta americana was obtained.(1) Contrast tests on suitable feeding temperature on Periplaneta americana was carried on. Results showed that the activity of Periplaneta americana was frequent with the temperature 15℃-37℃and a normal physiological activity could be maintained during 25℃-34℃which was suitable feeding temperature.(2) Bait vectors were obtained. Results showed that mouse feed was better than maize flour, camellia, butter biscuits, bread, whole milk sweet powder and soda crackers with the highest and stable uptake amount, various components and lower cost.6 efficacy enhancing excipients were researched and 5% sucrose showed the better effect and a low cost. As a result, mouse feed together with 5% sucrose was chosen as bait vectors.(3) Insecticidal plant was screened.8 plants were finally determined by 40 plants comparison. Then experiments of 5%,10%,15%,20% and 25% was carried out. Results showed that LC50 was ranked as follows:T. erecta 27.22490mg/g> C. majus 25.45487mg/g>A. altissima 23.82163mg/g> A. annua 22.30383mg/g> J. mandshurica 20.44263 mg/g> D. stramonium 18.45473mg/g> X. sibiricum 16.77255mg/g> T. umwilfordii 16.30009 mg/g。(4) Complex preparation was screened.3 plants were chosen with better toxic effects from many single-doses and screened by interaction mensuration. The co-toxic coefficient of the 3 complex formulations were X. sibiricum+T. umwilfordii 138.71> T. umwilfordii +D. stramonium131.03>X. sibiricum+D. stramonium124.94 with co-toxic coefficient >100. The best ratio of X. sibiricum+T. umwilfordii was 0.71:1 with the best effect, then T. umwilfordii+D. stramonium 0.48:1, and X. sibiricum+D. stramonium 1.42:1.
