Narcissus tazetta var. chinensis of ZhangZhou was treated with different dwarfing treatments as the experiment material in this study. The best treatment concentrations had been selected and the change laws of nitrogen, carbohydrates, endogenous hormones of N. tazetta var. chinensis of ZhangZhou had been researched. This study explored the effect of different dwarf treatments to the internal total nitrogen, inorganic nitrogen(ammoniac nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen), total soluble sugar, reducing sugar, cane sugar, endogenous hormones contents and plant morphology in the process of dwarfing, and analysised the relations between these indexes and plant dwarfing based on experiment data in order to clarify the action mechanism of different dwarfing treatments. The conclusions of this experiment were as follows:1. The growth speed of N. tazetta var. chinensis of ZhangZhou which was treated with A, B, PP333 and simulated weather was slower than that of control group. All of the treatments effect was satisfied when entering the florescence, and the average dwarf rate was 29.89%, the maximum was 34.15%. The best treatment concentrations of the three formers were selected as follows: 50 mmol/L, 24.5 mmol/L, 40 mg/L respectively according to experiment data.2. The result of this research showed that the inhibition level of 24.5 mmol/L B on narcissus plant(scape and leaf) was the highest one.But this treatment also decreased the content of chlorophyll and the width of leaves.The plant of narcissus was dwarfed by treatment A of 50 mmol/L, but degree of dwarf was smaller than the treatment B, and the content of chlorophyll and the width of leaves were also reduced.The degree of dwarf by 40 mg/LPP333 was smaller than the treatment A and treatment B, but the content of chlorophyll and the width of leaves were increased by this treatment.3. The relation between the form, content of nitrogen and plant dwarfing was closed. The total nitrogen content of leaves decreased significantly after dwarfing treatments, and the ratio of comparing nitrate nitrogen content to ammoniac nitrogen content increased. The ratio of treatment B which was the best dwarfing treatment keep between 0.18 to 0.28.4. The content that total sugar, reducing sugar and the ratio of latter to former of leaves were improved in varied degree compared to the control, and the content variation of cane sugar compare to the control was not certain. It showed that the relation between content of total sugar, reducing sugar and plant dwarf was closed than content of cane sugar. The result of this research show that the increased range of the content of total sugar, reducing sugar and w the ratio of latter to former were not proportional to the dwarfness. The content that total sugar, reducing sugar and the ratio of latter to former of leaves which were treated with B were not the biggest one. If it should achieve the dwarfing effect after increasing the content of total sugar, reducing sugar and the ratio of latter to former to certain level need to be further observed.5. The content of internal IAA, GA3 and the ratio of (IAA+GA3) to ABA were decreased significantly after dwarfing treatments, which was a very important reason that made the plant dwarf. The content of ABA changed differently as the forms of treatment, and the change trend of which was an important factor that affected the florescence. Two stress treatments decreased the content of internal CTKs and the ratio of CTKs content to ABA content, this might be an important reason that reduced the width of leaves. But the difference was not significant. The effect of treatments that PP333 and simulative weather was opposite to the two stress treatments. The result of this research showed that decreasing the content of IAA, GA3 and the ratio of (IAA+ABA) to ABA content were the commonness of dwarfing treatments.6. This research determined the measurement condition of the content that IAA, ABA, GA3 and CTKs by HPLC.
