China is a big agricultural country,cotton is a important economic crops which next to grain in our country.In particular, area of planting and yield of Xinjiang occupies the most important position in our country,It is the Pillar Industry of Xinjiang.But,in the process of gaining and Machining cotton ,no suit machine to transport it,this restrict the mechanization degree of Producing cotton. In order to save manpower and reduce cost,improve Productivity of cotton production and processing .A grab for cotton was designed in this topic using previous experience for reference. Wire Rope was lifted by Electric Hoist for the Open and close of grab,grab teeth were designed for grab in order to benefit insertion.Electric Power grab design scheme was put forward in the topic. Polluting to the cotton was avoided compared with the hydraulic grab.Bulk cargo grab using in wharf was referenced, According to the characteristics, whole project design of was finished, strut structure was designed for the grab .And size parameters of grab were determined. Virtual Prototype model was established using Pro/E software. Interference detection have been done for the prototype model utilizing the simulation function of Pro/E. Mathematical model for simulation was given by rigorous mathematical reasoning computation. Resistance of grab cotton was analysised, simulation on working was finished using MATLAB software, per opening x corresponding to only depth of grab.trajectory curve and grab Moment curve can be obtaine d,and weight of grab working ,influence law ofα1 and L to grab weight were anglysised.The tihinking is"Simulation——Optimization——Simulation"for otimum dsign.Because grab teeth are the key component of force,so check the strength is necessary .The effects of designed parameters to amount of grab were analysed,and better parameters were obtained .Teeth of strength of grab were checked when it is subjected to maximum resistance.Grabing cotton machine was designed by the studies of this paper,structure was improved compare with the former machine, and this Model Prototype can grab 447 Kg cotton once working cycle. production requirement can be meeted. Theoretical mathematic model provid foundation for the future research..
