The experiments were designed to investigate the effect of CSH supplemented continuously on growth performance,serum biochemical Indices,intestine development and meat quality of growth meat rabbits.A total of 160 rabbits(45 d old,female:male=1:1) were randomly divided to five groups,fed with the basal diet supplemented with 0,60,90,120,150mg/kg CSH respectively 30 days.The results showed of follows:1.The diet added with CSH increased the rabbits production performance,Especially the combination of 90 mg/kg.In comparison with the control group,the average daily gain of group 2,group 3 and group 4 increased by15.78%(P<0.01),9.68%(P<0.01),3.7%(P<0.05) respectively;average daily feed intake of group 2 increased by 5.12%(P<0.01);feed conversion rate of group 2 and group 3 decreased by 9.1%(P<0.01),7.67%(P<0.01) respectively;2.The diet added with CSH increased the levels of TP,ACP,AKP,TC,decreased the levels of BUN in serum.In comparison with the control group,the ALB of in blood,group 1,group 2,group 3 and group 4 increased content of ALB by 10.87%(P>0.05),39.57% (P<0.01),27.90%(P<0.01) and 24.64%(P<0.01) respectively;the GOT of groupl and group2 decreased by 20.62%(P<0.05),21.48%(P<0.05) respectively;the GH of group 1,group2,and group3 increased by 21.59%(P>0.05),31.89%(P<0.01),9.62%(P>0.05) respectively,group 4 decreased by 2.75%(P>0.05);3.The diet added with CSH increased the activities of duodenal mylolytic enzyme;In comparison with the control,the activities of duodenal amylolytic enzyme group 1,group 2 and group 3 increased by 10.17%(P>0.05),14.07%(P>0.05),1.19%(P>0.05) respectively, group 4 decreased by 0.17%(P>0.05);the activities of duodenal proteolytic enzyme group 1 and group 2 increased by 1.87%(P < 0.05),0.09%(P>0.05) respectively,group 3 and group 4 decreased by 2.94%(P>0.05),3.38%(P>0.05)respectively;4.The diet added with CSH increased the height of intestinal villus in duodenum,jejunum, ileum and cecum,when added the CSH over the 90mg/kg may depress the height,added to 150mg/kg depressed the height obviously;the change of intestine thickness from duodenum, jejunum and ileum had no regularity,the thickness from cecum were lower than the control group;5.The diet added with CSH depressed the water content and ash content,increased the crude protein content of the rabbit meat,but every group difference is not notable in improving(P>0.05);In comparison with the control group,the crude fat content of group 1, group2,group3 and group4 increased by 5.43%(P<0.01),9.57%(P<0.01),9.87%(P<0.01), 9.12%(P<0.01) respectively.This has important significance on improving meat quality;6.Added 90 mg/kg CSH can gain the best economic effect,profit improved 49.41%than the control group.
