| 54 samples of aborted fetus and milk were collected in the region of Huhhot and Brucella were isolated and identificated. By isolating culture,microscope observation and biochemistry experiment, 11 strains of brucella were isolated. 5 strains of brucella were isolated from the 6 samples of aborted fetus and 6 strains of brucella were isolated from the 48 samples of milk. By carbon dioxide experiment,hydrogen sulfide experiment,dye bacteriostasis experiment and monophase specificity serum A,M,R slide agglutination experiment ,it was identificated that 5 strains of isolates were the biotype 3 of cattle species and the other 6 strains were the biotype 1 of swine species. The 6 strains of swine species were conformed further by the AMOS-PCR detecting method . It was revealed that the abortion of cow was caused mainly by brucellosis at the present time and the brucella infection was seriously in the region of Huhhot.
