The Effects Of Salt Stress Of Medicago Varia Martin.cv.Caoyuan No.3

The difference of salt-endurance at stages of seed germination, seedling and field test was studied on Medicago varia Martin.Cv.Caoyuan No.3 and Medicago sativa L.cv.Zhongmu No.1 through simulating salt stress.the results shown that:1 Salt stress has had the obvious inhibitory action to seed germination of the alfalfa material, relative germination percentage, relative germination potential, relative germination index, radicle embryo growth were decreased when salt concentration was increasing. The two alfalfa materials change under the NaCl salt was smaller than Na2CO3 salt,and the(NaCl+ Na2CO3)mixture salt, their difference is not remarkable in three kinds of salt stress.2 Cell membranes penetration , malondialdehyde content, the content of free praline, soluble sugar content of the two alfalfa material were increasing trend;and relative water contest of leaves and the chlorophyll content were decreasing trend when salt stress the increased concentration. the two alfalfa materials change under the Na2CO3 salt and the(NaCl+ Na2CO3)mixture salt, was smaller than NaCl salt their difference is remarkable in three kinds of salt stress.3 From the phenophase Medicago varia Martin.Cv.Caoyuan No.3 and Medicago sativa L.cv.Zhongmu No.1 can grow normally, the growth rate, stem fresh forage and seed production of the latter are higher than the former , its salt endurance is basically same.
