| With the rapid development of animal husbandry and grass industry in China.Higher requirements are placed on the quantity and quality of high-quality forage.The fundamental position of alfalfa breeding in the production of animal husbandry is increasingly prominent,and breeding new alfalfa varieties is an important means to improve grass yield and quality.Medicago variaMartin.cv.Caoyuan No.3has strong stress resistance,significant heterosis,rich phenotypic diversity,and good breeding potential,which can provide suitable breeding types for further breeding of new varieties with different excellent characteristics.In order to fully understand its phenotypic diversity.This paper takes Medicago variaMartin.cv.Caoyuan No.3 as the experimental type.In 2018 and 2019,two-year field cultivation experiments were conducted in the pasture base of Inner Mongolia Agricultural University.The plant traits,phenology,botanical characteristics,physiological indicators and other phenotypic traits of the clump were observed and compared.Through mathematical statistics and mapping analysis,the following conclusions were drawn:Medicago variaMartin.cv.Caoyuan No.3 has abundant mutations,plant traits show a large difference,cluster analysis is divided into 6 variant types.Type Ⅰ has good uprightness and is suitable for cultivating high-yield varieties;Types Ⅱ,Ⅲ and Ⅴhave relatively small stems and leaves,large freshness and good palatability,and are suitable for cultivating high-quality varieties;Type Ⅳ has small plant height and a large number of pods Suitable for breeding varieties with high seed yield.Type Ⅵ has a short growth period,which is conducive to safe wintering and is suitable for breeding cold-resistant varieties;The results of the determination and analysis of the six variant types of physiological indicators further confirmed the observation results of phenotypic traits.Among them,the types with stronger photosynthetic ability are Type Ⅰ,Type Ⅱ,Type Ⅲ and Type Ⅴ;At the same time,the measured values of oxidase activity and superoxide dismutase activity of No.Ⅱ,No.Ⅳ,No.V and No.VI are higher,The measured value of malondialdehyde content is low.It shows the high-yield,high-quality and anti-stress performance of each variation type. |
