Wuyishan Scenery District is a famous scenic spot in China. Tourism is the pillar industry of Wuyishan City.In the ecological ornamental forest of Wuyishan Scenery District, masson pine forest accounts for 70% in genus pinus.It is obvious that masson pine forest is of a great importance in Wuyishan Scenery District. It is also the main raw material of forest chemical industry,paper pulp,rosin,artificial board and other forestry industries. Genus pinus takes a significant position in the economy construction and forest ecosystem in Wuyishan City.Thus, the population of main pests in genus pinus in Wuyishan Scenery District is studied. Then policies on the management of forestry pest system are made to reach pest sustainable control.This will be favorable to the develoment of tourism and ecological construction.And it will bring about enormous economic,social and ecological benefits. The main methods and results are as follows.1. The relationships between occurrence area of Dendrolimus Punctatus Wallker and meteorological factors are analyzed.The results show that annual temperature has significant influence on the occurrence area ,followed by humidity and rainfall.Wuyishan,located in north Fujian,has high annual temperature.It helps the pest with overwintering,growth and reproduction.It also promotes the growth of pine forest,thus providing abundent feed and good conditions for the development of Dendrolimus Punctatus Wallker. The influence of humidity mainly lies in the effect of biological controlling.It has further influence on the population dynamics of Dendrolimus Punctatus Wallker.2. Occurrence and distributing areas of Monochamus alternatus are studied by the means of investigating in forest zone and trapping the pest with FJ-Ma-02 attractant..The results reveal that Monochamus alternatus mainly scatter in Wuyi Scenery Region.They often occure on the agonal or dead single-pine and part stands damaged by Dendrolimus Punctatus Wallker.And the total population density is low. There are two high occurring peaks which are from the middle May to the early June and from the last June to the middle July.The adult amount trapping in the two periods is 89.2% of all the adults.The results also show that the average adult caught is significantly related to monthly temperature.The amount of Monochamus alternatus in sunny-slopes is more than shady-slopes.Occurrence amount is negatively correlated with canopy density and vegetation coverage.3. Occurrence level of Hylobitelus xiaoi zhang in Shuilian,Dahongpao,Dawangting,Yiqu and Yixiantian are investigated. Analyses of the data show that there exist more or less Hylobitelus xiaoi zhang in these areas.The distribution of Hylobitelus xiaoi zhang mainly relates with slope position,diameter,vegetation coverage and pine ages.The damaged ratio of pine stands and the larvae density are remarkably different among different slopes.The pines in midslope suffer severer damage.the ones in downslope lighter.Significant correlation is found between the larvae densities and the pines with diameter ranging from 21 to 60 cm and age below 40-year-old.4. Arthropod groups in pine stands.are investigated by frequency trembler lamps.55817 specimens are collected,which belong to 13 orders and 81 families.There are 73 dendrolimus punctatus adults.The most orders, Coleoptera are 23,accounting for 28.40%.The most individuals,Lepidoptera are 41834,which is 74.95% of all the trapping pests.
