Research On The Influential Factors And Policy Suggestions About Peasant Households' Initiative Adoption To Water-Saving Irrigation Technology

As the bridge of agricultural technology achievement translate into the productivity, agricultural technology extension is the indispensable important link for modern agriculture.With the passing Millennium,fundamental changes are underway in China's agriculture development.For the Ecological environment has become the important obstacle of agriculture development,more and more countries has realized the existent and urgency of the resource crisis and have taken a series of policy to improve the situation of water-resource utilization.As China,which has abundant water-resource in total but lack of it an average people,water-resource would be the main obstacle of the Sustainable development of our economy.The implement of water -saving agriculture can ease the status of water-resource shortage as agricultural department is the greatest department using water-resource.Only if the peasant households accept the advanced saving-water irrigation technology,the potential productivity can translate into actual productivity and we can get better use of water-resource and advance economic development.Theoretically supported by the theory of social action of Parsons and adopting the methods of questionnaire survey and individual interview,an positive research is made to analyze the peasant households' adoption to water-saving irrigation technology on the basis of taking N Town in XuWen City,Guangdong Province as an example.The whole paper is divided into seven parts.The first part mainly reviews the achievements related to this research in retrospect; The second part mainly sets forth the design of this research;The third part describes the basic circumstance of the whole investigation sample;The forth part further describes the situation of water-saving irrigation technology service in our country from the angles of the supply and need,and describe the characteristics of the adoption on the initiates and region difference to water-saving irrigation technology;The fifth part analysis the influential factors of peasant households' adoption to water-saving irrigation technology from the angle of peasant households' characteristic,environmental factor,social criterion factor and water-saving irrigation technology factor;The seventh part draws the conclusion of this research on the basis of positive research and gives the suggestions of how to make agricultural science and technology service better and how to promote the peasant households' passion of adopting latest agricultural science and technology achievements. Through this investigation we can make these conclusion as follows:from the angle of the peasant households' characteristic,result shows that the peasant households' selection behavior is obviously related to the age,educational lever,the ability of capital mobilization,the characteristic of knowledge and skill.From the view of the environment, with the transform of the comparison income in the agriculture and the development of the secondary and tertiary industries,the industry environment of the characteristic agriculture promotes the adoption of peasant households' water-saving irrigation technology,however,the weakness of the foundational establishment is the main obstacle of peasant households' adoption.From the view of the normative orientation,the policy of the government,the culture of the country and all kinds of the organizations play different role in water-saving irrigation technology extension.From the view of the information of the water-saving irrigation technology,the public communication is the main channel in the cogitation stage and interpersonal media play an important role in decision -making and acceptance stage,especially the members of promoting agricultural technology and the friends and relatives takes great part of it.The model function of the friends and relatives play different role in different stage of the technology extension.
