| Avian infectious bronchitis virus is a positive sense,single-stranded RNA virus and the prototype member of the family Coronaviridae.The virus is highly contagious pathogen of poultry that causes significant morbidity and mortality.Infectious bronchitis caused by a coronavirus is an important disease in chinckens,and it mainly affects respiratory and urogenital systems.Because avian infectious bronchitis has complex serotypes and there is poor or no cross protection, conventional vaccine can not protect chicken flocks from renal type infectious bronchitis. In recent years, the increased incidence of chicken renal type infectious bronchitis leads to severe economic loss. It is important to develop reliable effect in the treatment of renal type infectious bronchitis, according to practical condition in China. On the basis of the special cognition of Chinese medical theory to renal type infectious bronchitis, pure Chinese medicine powder is developed to treat chicken artificial infectious renal type infectious bronchitis in order to break through for treating it in Chinese medicine.In experiment 1,21-day-old broilers were inoculated standard renal infectious bronchitis virus and were randomly divided into control group and Chinese medicine treated groups in three levels(0.5%,1.0%,1.5%) and NaHCO3 treated group. And then broilers were observed for ten days. The results indicated that the cure rate of Chinese medicine treated groups of three different levels was significant higher than that of control group and NaHCO3 treated group(P<0.05),and the therapeutic efficacy of the groups of 1.0 and 1.5% was very significantly different compared with NaHCO3 treated group. In addition, Chinese medicine groups greatly promoted weight gain in broilers. The test showed the Chinese medicine compound preparation can correctly cure chicken renal type infectious bronchitis and have a greatly clinical extension value. Furthermore, we recommend to use 1.0% in the diet.The experiment was the safety test of Chinese medicine compound preparation. 20 20-old-day broilers were drenched 2g/d Chinese medicine compound preparation. The dose was ten times of the normal used amount. The test lasted for 10 days. The broilers had no adverse effect. The mean weight increased from 618g to 1045g at 30-day-old.In addition, liver, kidney and spleen were normal. 20 adult rats were drenched 0.5g/d Chinese medicine compound preparation for 10 days. The rats were normal in spirit and foraging. Moreover, two rats made the mating.The preparation is pure Chinese drugs pharmacetuics, little toxicant secondary action and can not easily produce drug resistance. Complex prescription made of many kinds of Chinese medicine has powerful function and can promote growth and treat the chicks produced renal type infectious bronchitis. Furthermore, the drug has wide medicinal herbs rescource and are cheap and convenient to use. So the prospect of the drug is good. |
