The weeds will contest with ornamental grass for the sunshine, water and fertilizer.The research of ornamental grass's tolerance for herbicids become the main barriers for improving ornamental grass's view value.The research chooseed several kinds of ornamental grass which has excellent view value and possible herbicides, on the basis of the results of potted experiments, analyzes the effects of herbicides on the ornamental grass to select the suited herbicides and to seek the techniques of weed control, the result shows:(1)It was safe to use Ronstar 3500ml·hm-2, Pendimethalin 6000 ml·hm-2, Metolachlor 3000 ml·hm-2 or Acetochior 2000 ml·hm-2 for older Pennisetum alopecuroides weed control in autumn.(2)Ronstar 2700ml·hm-2 or Pendimethalin 3500 ml·hm-2 for older Pennisetum alopecuroides weeds control in summer. It was safe for Pennisetum alopecuroides growth under this doses, and Metolachlor or Acetochior was banned here.(3)It was security for Pennisetum alopecuroides and Pennisetum setaceum growth by spraying the herbicide of 2,4-D butylete 900 ml·hm-2.Bad harm had happened on the two Pennisetum with the doses glyphosate 3375 ml·hm-2,Quizalofop-p-ethyl 225 ml·hm-2.(4)It was safe for Eragrostis pilosa growth by spraying the herbicide of 2700 ml·hm-2 Ronstar or 3000ml·hm-2 Pendimethalin. Bad dug-harm had happened on Eragrostis pilosa by spraying the herbicide of Metolachlor or Acetochior at the lowest doses.(5)There were a serious injury on Phalarisarundinacea with low doses of Ronstar when Phalarisarundinacea was transplanted and the soil was closed in,and it was security for Phalarisarundinacea germination and growth by spraying the herbicide of 4500 ml·hm-2 Pendimethalin or 3000ml·hm-2 Metolachlor.(6)Pennisetum longissimum var. intemedium had a better adaptability for field manage mode.It was different for adaptability fashion about the two type Pennisetum;For lamina ornamental value,Pennisetum alopecuroides was better than Pennisetum longissimum var. intemedium.
