Study On Effects Of The Physiological Active Substance On Major Polyphenols Metabolism In Tobacco

The Field experiments were conducted in LuoYang and XuChang of HeNan province in 2006-2007, Studies on effecting of spraying plant growth regulators on phenylalanine metabolism and quality of flue-cured tobacco after topping, these results are as follows:The cutters chlorophyll were degraded to different extent by foliar spraying SA, ETH and low concentration GA , and high concentration GA inhibit the chlorophyll degradation. In upper leaves the chlorophyll degradation of control was lowest, that of the rest treatment improved the degradation of chlorophyll, but high concentration GA didn't inhibit the chlorophyll degradation compared with the cutters. The carotene content decreased gradually with days increasing after topping, and the carotene content degrade slowly by foliar spraying ETH in medium-topped tobacco.Effects of plant growth regulator on PAL activity were studied. Results showed that in the cutters the activities of PAL were stimulated by high concentration ETH and low concentration SA, and the stimulation indicated property of stages. In upper leaves the high concentration ETH could improve obviously PAL activity, the stimulation by foliar spraying SA and ABA indicated property of stages, but GA had no obvious effect in medium-topped tobacco. Effects of plant growth regulator on CA4H activity were studied and results showed that SA could improve obviously CA4H activity, and the stimulation of the rest treatment indicated property of stages.In the cutters the activities of PPO were stimulated by SA, GA and ETH, and the stimulation indicated property of stages. In upper leaves PPO activity was significantly stimulated by all treatments except SA and ABA indicated property of stages. POD activity of SA, GA and ETH was significantly higher than that of control group in the cutters, and In upper leaves POD activity by foliar spraying plant growth regulator significantly stimulated expect low concentration ETH and high concentration ABA。The results showed that in the cutters different treatments total phenols content mainly trended to increasing, anthocyanidin content of all treatments linear increasing except high concentration GA, low concentration ETH and the control, chlorogenic acid content showed the trend of increasing except low concentration GA, and rutin content also showed the rising trend except high concentration ETH. In upper leaf total phenols content of different treatments had different change, anthocyanidin of different treatments showed the trend of increasing earlier, then decreasing except high concentration ETH and control, chlorogenic acid content indicated the change of increasing to decreasing and increasing again except ETH and high concentration SA, and rutin content had a fluctuation except high concentration ABA and low concentration SA which kept elevating.In general, the content of polyphenol in the body of tobacco can be improved due to spraying of different types of growth regulators. The results show that in the cutters effects of plant growth regulators on total phenols contents in the cutters was ETH>SA>GA, while on chlorogenic acid content and flavonoids content were different. The results show that effects of plant growth regulators on polyphenol in the upper leaf(1) total phenols contents was SA>ABA>ETH>GA, (2)chlorogenic acid content: SA>ABA and ETH>GA, and the difference between ABA and ETH was not significant respectively, rutin content was SA>ABA>ETH and GA, and the difference between ETH and GA was not significant respectivelyThe results showed that effects of plant growth regulators on aroma components (1) Content of Aroma Components in the cutters was low concentration GA>low concentration SA>low concentration ETH>high concentration GA>CK>high concentration ETH>high concentration SA ,and spraying low concentration SA,GA and ETH could form more aroma components; (2)Total content of volatile aroma components of upper leaf after curing: high concentration ABA>high concentration ETH>low concentration GA>low concentration ETH>low concentration SA>low concentration ABA>CK>high concentration SA>high concentration GA, and products of Maillard acepyrrole was detected in the treatment of GA, and not in others.The petroleum ether extract was not significant respectively in each treatments of medium-topped tobacco after curing.Effects of plant growth regulators on the content of amino acid (1) in the cutters spraying SA could increase the content of free amino acid, in addition high concentration ETH was good for forming amino acid, while the low concentration ETH not; (2)The change of the amino acid content of upper leaf was basically similar with that of cutters, and high concentration ABA improved content of amino acid, but low concentration ABA didn't .
