Researches On Twig Neuritis Of Ostrich

In the year 1992, the Africa ostrich was introduced to China, and feed successed. During more than the ten years experiences, some of the ostrich leg diseases were reported in general. However, the special report on peripheral neuritis of ostrich leg has not been found. In this dissertation, the pathology of peripheral neuritis was researched to improve the rearing rate and decrease the breeding cost, and further to develop the breeding technology and to provide the theory basis for disease prevention.Based on the several years'researches of ostrich diseases, the ostrich limping was investigated in this dissertation. By comparing the limping rates of ostrich that brood in different breeding surroundings and fodder formulas, their effects on the ostrich limping rate were analyzed based on the further pathology tissue section observation tests and water and soil composition detections. The results indicated that the the fodder formula shows little effect on the ostrich limping rate, however, the breeding surrounding effects the limping rate greatly. Furthermore, the pathology of ostrich limping was found is caused by the peripheral neuritis in ostrich leg.At last, the preventive measures were produced for the common peripheral neuritis of ostrich leg. The rationalization preventive measures cover the possible cause aspects of peripheral neuritis in other diseases, denutrition, breeding management, establishment and breeding farm. The research could promote the development of scientific prevention in ostrich diseases.
