The existing state of meat sheep industry in northern Xinjiang army cropland was investigated to use effectively the crop straws, develop the high grade lambs, promote the agricultural structure to be changed and to improve the composition of livestock fanning. It was found that the first factor that restrict the development rate here were fewer fine sheep, there were about 20000 thousands low quality local sheep which can not produce superior wool and meat, but the fat tail make up 10%~25%of the total carcass weight. The second factor was backward technique and lower industry base.In view of the above-mentioned facts, the cross combination, feeding method and supplement feed of meat sheep were studied. The results of research showed that the F1 lambs from Suffolk rams xfine wool ewes were more excellent on growth-weight grain and meat quality, the body weight at six month old was 42.72±3.25kg which was 3.19kg more than that of the F1 from local rams×fine wool ewes, the difference between two groups was very significant(p <0.01); besides, the lean meat rate of carcass and meat quality of the former were higher.Their dressing percentage, net meat weight and eye muscle area were separately 6.5%,11.9%and12.2%more than that of the latter with a large fat tail. The differences between two groups was very significant (p <0.01).The lambs born in cold season were fattened linearly with pellet containing different nutrients.Their body weight was over 35kg and dressing percentage was 47.4%at five month old, so the lambs can be marketed at that time and more than 76 yuan profit can be got compared with the lambs born in the autumn.29.26%ewes had twice parturition every year duo to early-weaning; however, there were 4.75%ewes in control group had twice parturition. The differences between two groups was very significant(p <0.01).
